We spent the next two days resting and learning about Dunmer culture, as well as making new armor and enchanting it. The others seemed surprised that I knew little of the ways of my own people. I explained that this was my first time playing as a dark elf, so I had as much to learn as they did.
"But your personality is already so much like what's described here. All you need now is the history behind it, right?" Arina asked with an amused smile, looking up from the Daedric helmet she was enchanting.
"Hey careful, that's my helmet you're enchanting, and that's enough of your cheek." I said, blushing.
Laughing, she ducked the piece of paper I threw at her and it landed on the table. "There, all done. I think I can figure out how to triple the enchantments now." She held the helmet out to me.
Celesty looked up from her bag as she packed food. "Are we going straight for Miraak?"
"Unfortunately no." I shook my head. "We have to go through the black books first. It's a pain in the ass, I know. But there isn't much else I can say, other than that we have to talk to a lot of people and face a lot of dangers." I took out the map of Solsteim that I'd gotten from the messenger.
"Thankfully, we can cut out the middle man and head straight for Miraak's temple, here." I pointed it out. "Here is where we'll meet a Skaal woman looking for help to defeat Miraak. I don't remember her name at the moment, but we'll know her when we see her."
I looked up at them. They looked determined, strong. Definitely not the scared weaklings they'd been two years ago. We were ready. Ready to take on this relentless undead bastard.
"Let's go to be-" A pounding on the door interrupted me.
"Help me please!"
