*3 weeks later*
"Again. Focus on the Atronach." I barked an order as Arina, Celesty, Rosla, and Brok trained in Destruction magic. They groaned collectively.
Arina had already managed to get to level 2 through enchanting. She seemed to like enchanting best, and magic least.
I'd given each of them gear as I had it to enhance their magic and combat skills. As they worked on focusing their magic at the Ice Atronach I had conjured, I turned back to the blueprints of Lakeview Manor and began building the kitchen.
An hour later, Rosla came over to me, out of breath. "We killed it, Lilitah. What's next?" Noticing theirs and my growling bellies, I grinned.
"Lunchtime. It's venison and baked potatoes today. Oh, and some nice cold ale." Cheers erupted from Brok, Rosla, and Celesty. Arina looked disapproving, taking her food and grabbing a cup for water.
Celesty came up to me with concern on her face, ears quivering. "Arina doesn't seem happy here. Is there anything we can do for her?" I looked at Arina, sitting alone at the end of the table in the main room of the manor.
"I wish I knew. I'm sure she misses her family. I know she doesn't necessarily believe in magic, or the gods here. And then there's the matter of Aedra and Daedra that are all too real. I'll talk with her before bed."
Celesty nodded. "Rosla and Brok seem to be thriving here though, as do you. You've gotten to level 30 already even though we're all struggling."
Grinning, I quipped back, "Helps when you know what you're doing. I just suck at explaining things. And I'm an even worse teacher. I'm actually tempted to take all of you to the College in Winterhold and let Tolfdir teach you. Actually, I need to check in there anyway, since I am the Arch-Mage." Turning to the others, I smiled softly before saying, "House meeting, everyone. We're gonna make a plan to make you stronger."
