The next morning we set out for Whiterun bright and early. I didn't expect we would actually get that far, but I could hope, right? At the very least I wanted to get to the bandit camp outside of the city.

Rosla and Brok ran ahead of the rest of us with Arina walking a little ahead of Celesty and I. Serana was running with Arina and Brok. Ever since they'd become friends she'd been spending more and more time with them. I was glad for that, and smiled softly.

"Don't waste too much stamina, you three! We only have so many potions!" Laughter greeted my admonition. Arina looked back at me and grinned.

"One is named after a character and the other one is literally named Rosla the Willful. Do you really think they'll listen?" She laughed. I shrugged, realizing she was right and realizing that was what I'd brought the skooma for.

Celesty's laughter trilled behind me, and when I turned to look, she had a fox walking next to her. She was using her woodland magic more and more and becoming comfortable as a wood elf. Secretly I wondered whether she would want to go back to our world. Rosla and Brok were so happy here too. Maybe we could make a life here.

We stopped for lunch in Rorikstead and since we were making good time I conjured a Flame Atronach and had the four of them practice their ice spells on it. It went down in an explosion in record time. I cheered.

"Nicely done! That was you guy's best time yet!" To my surprise and delight, Celesty, Brok, and Rosla were all level 3 and Arina was level 4.

They cheered and danced around for a few minutes. "All right, enough partying, come on, let's go. We should be at the bandit camp by nightfall if we keep the time we did this morning. That will be your combat practice with weapons for today."

"Then we'll stop in Whiterun at Warmaiden's to upgrade our armor right?" Arina asked.

I shook my head. "Just mine. Since my armor is what you're wearing, it's leveled far above what it should be for you."

Arina looked at me with her head cocked to the side. "You gave us your own armor?"

I nodded. "It was the easiest way to keep you safe, since the armor rating is far better than anything your level would be."

*3 hours later*

"I've got this one, stay where you are and I'll come heal you!" I yelled at Rosla as she sat on a boulder gasping due to a gash above her eye.

After killing the bandit Chief I went back and healed the four of them. "Good work today guys. Here's a sweetroll for each of you, you've earned these."

Day 1 of our adventure in Skyrim had been successful. Now we had to look at what lay ahead.
