Chapter 9: We got Lost?
Stuffed, that's a word that I have never used in my life time especially living with my Aunt and Uncle be lucky to even get a full plate of food let alone an entire banquet of food to help yourself with. Percy the prefect for the first years of Gryffindor stands up looking our way "Gryffindor's, follow me please, Thank you" I groan standing up to follow Ron's older brother out of the great hall.
"Keep up Gryffindor's" Percy shouts back at the lot of us as we dawdle behind him "God I'm too stuffed to do tours" Mumbing I look to my brother and Ron as they both hold their stomach to exhausted to talk they hum and groan in response. Charming.
"This is the most direct route to the dormitories. Oh, and keep an eye on the staircases... they like to change" Percy trails off as I look up at the number of staircases above my stomach doing flips making me feel queasy. That's too many cases for a normal day let alone a full stomach.
"Seamus, that picture is moving" Neville points out as he looks up at the scattered hanging pictures hung on the wall. As we wait for one of the staircases to move to the next direction we needed to go I study the picture next to me.
The lady in the picture smiles as she waves at us as we move on up the stairs after they had moved to the right direction Percy is taking us.
"BOO!" I jump back in surprise colliding into someone as the guy in the oil painting starts to crack up laughing glad he managed to scare the life out of a student. Shaking my head I stand my self back up straight with the help of the helpful person that caught me from my scare. Looking back a blush covers my cheeks as Neville looks down at me "Willow, you ok" smiling i nod "Yea sorry wasn't expecting to get a scare from a picture today".
He laughs shaking his head as he also looks at the photo's "No, guess not, but it is funny" i lightly punch his shoulder as we still follow the rest of the first year Gryffindor students "Hey, was not funny for me scared the hell out of me".
"You wouldn't have jumped into me though if you didn't so not necessarily a bad thing" I advert my gaze tucking some stray hair behind my ear as Neville starts to go a little pink. "Umm come on don't wanna get left behind" he smiles as we jog a little to catch up with the rest of the group following up many more stairs and down some long corridors before approaching the Gryffindor dorms well that was what Percy had said anyways.
Percy stands us all in front of a large painting with a woman in a lovely pink dress stands finally noticing the lot of us she turns her gaze looking rather unimpressed as she does not try very hard not to hide it on her face. Looked like Uncle Vernon when me or Harry would get a good grade in school was never happy unless it was his son.
"Password?" she questions looking all of us over I fidget slightly but don't let the stare of a picture gets to me, Percy looks back at us before looking back at the woman "Caput Draconis" he replies to the ladies question. The lady nods and the painting starts to slowly open to reveal a gap in the wall "follow me, everyone. Keep up, quickly, come on" Percy calls out as we all follow him through the gap in the wall.
Coming back into the light after the dark walkway I try my hardest not to let my mouth drop couches and chairs were placed randomly in the room and a large fireplace with a fire already lit giving the room some warmth. A nice place to do some reading or studying as long as everyone else is not too loud.
"Gather 'round here. Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room. Boys' dormitories, upstairs and down the left. Girls, the same on your right. You'll find that your belongings have already been brought up". Looking out of the corner to my side at my twin brother I feel a small pit start to form in my stomach at the realisation, we are not gonna be sharing a room any more while we are here. Not with each other anyways.
