Our story begins in a small neighbourhood on a small street called Privet Drive. A Barn owl perches itself on top of the sign of the street, the light illuminating from the street lamp casts a silhouette of its figure on the concrete pavement.
The owl does not seem phased as the sound of footsteps start to grow closer a mysterious appearing old man emerges out by the forest line out on to the nearby street the source of the only noise on the street at this hour.
The old man stops at the start of the street and slowly reaches into his cloak taking out a small mechanical device and holds it out in front of him into the air. The street lamps start to flicker as the light limiting form the street lamps start to form into orbs before flashing over to the small mechanical device that lays in the old man's hand.
The street is incased in darkness as the old man puts away his device back in his cloak the only light source now being the glow from the full moon above, it was only a small glow but enough for the old man to see where he was heading.
Out of the shadows of the trees, a small grey and black striped cat makes its way out onto the street a small meow leaving its feline mouth. The elderly gentleman looks down to the small tabby cat as the cat also returns the gesture by looking up at the old man.
"I should have known that you would be here..." the old man pauses as there was a small tug at his lips to form half a smile before he goes back to serious look "Professor McGonagall".
The small tabby cat once again meows up at the old man before stretching out and turning back to the forest line the small feline had just come from moments before. The cat's shadow starts to disfigure, slowly turning and changing, the silhouette of a cat it was no longer but one of a human figure. The transformed cat Minerva McGonagall is revealed as the lady steps out from behind the trees and makes her way towards the old man who is patiently waiting for her.
McGonagall looks over at the elderly gentleman a small smile on her face as she looks at her dear friend "Good evening, Professor Dumbledore. Are the rumours true, Albus?".
Professor Dumbledore starts to slowly walk down the street Professor McGonagall joining him at his side as they walk down the street of Privet Drive. Dumbledore replies to McGonagall's question with the nod of the head "I'm afraid so, Professor. The good and the bad".
McGonagall looks to Dumbledore in worry as she keeps to the same pace he is walking "And the boy?", Dumbledore stays quiet for a moment hesitating a little before choosing his next words "Hagrid is bringing him".
McGonagall expression turns to surprise as she keeps glancing back and forth every so often from Professor Dumbledore and the path they are taking down the street. "Do you think it is wise to trust Hagrid with something as important as this?" McGonagall questions her friend in his decision to trust Hagrid with the task they had set in hand.
Professor Dumbledore releases a breath thinking of his friend that he had set with probably the most important task in his life and then the trust that he has in him shaking off any doubt that Hagrid would not be able to succeed. "Ah, Professor, I would trust Hagrid with my life".
The sound of a motor fills the air as the two professors halt in there conversation as they turn and look up to the night sky above.
They both look up to the night sky as a bright light illuminates the sky, the light starts to come closer and the outline forms the shape of a motorcycle as It starts to slowly descend from above. The motorbike skids against the concrete and comes to a gentle halt close to where both of the professors stand waiting for his arrival.
The large man on the bike straightens his posture as he reaches up taking his cycle goggles off from his eyes and replaces them on his forehead for safekeeping as turns to the two waiting for him. "Professor Dumbledore, Sir. Professor McGonagall" Hagrid greets the two Professors with a respectful nod.
"No problems, I trust, Hagrid?" Dumbledore questions as Hagrid climbs off of his Motorcycle and walks over to the two professors.
Hagrid clears his throat smiling as e looks down at the little baby that is strapped to his chest in a baby sling "No, Sir. The little tykes fell asleep just as we were flying over Bristol. Heh. Tried not to wake".
He gave one last look down at the little baby boy that is wrapped in a blanket in his arms before holding him out towards Professor Dumbledore "There you go".
After handing over the baby boy to Dumbledore Hagrid reaches back into the sling that is strapped around his chest and pulls out another baby wrapped in a blanket and hands over to McGonagall to whom was surprised not as much as Dumbledore, however.
"Hagrid did you steal another baby?" McGonagall questions as she looks at the baby girl in her arms whos peacefully asleep. Hagrid shakes his head as he looks between the babies that are in both Professor's hands "No, Professor we have twins".
Professor Dumbledore looks at the baby in his hand then to the baby inMcGonagall's "well this was not foretold but, we will carry on with theplan".
Turning away from Hagrid, Dumbledore walks towards one of the houses on the street "Albus, do you really think it is safe, leaving them with these people? I've been watching them all day. They're the worst sort of Muggles imaginable... They really are" McGonagall states as she has been watching this specific house all day watching the muggles who live inside from her cat form.
Dumbledore sighs as he hears McGonagall's footsteps trail behind following the great Professor himself "The only family they have" it was clear that he himself does not particularly want to leave them with these people.
Stopping outside the front doorstep of the house Dumbledore holds the baby at an angle to allow him to look upon the newcomer of the world. "These twins will be famous. There would not be a child in our world who does not know their names".
Dumbledore nods knowing the outcomes of the events that have happened "Exactly. They are better off growing up away from all that. Until they are ready" he states looking back at McGonagall.
The sound of Coughs and sniffles fill the air as both of the Professors who are standing on the front doorstep turns their ages to Hagrid who is crying in the middle of the street. He clears his throat noticing that he had gained the attention of both of the professors.
"There, there, Hagrid. It is not really Good-Bye after all" Dumbledore reassures his friend as he gives him a gentle smile also. Hagrid nods in response but still turns away from the display not wanting to see the babies getting left even though he knows its whats best for the pair of them.
Dumbledore takes a letter and places it on top of the blankets that both the babies are wrapped in, who are now at the front door laying on the step.
A Scar from the previous hours of the night left on each baby a visible lightning bolt-shaped mark on the little boys head and a half mon shaped symbol laying on the girl's Collar bone. A Mark that will forever be with them and a mark that will get the pair of them into a little bit of chaos in there awaiting future.
"Good luck... Harry and Willow Potter" Dumbledore softly whispers as he stares down at the two sleeping babies completely unaware of how chaotic their life has now become.
