Chapter 5: Vault 713
Looking up at the tall buildings, I smile amazed, I am in London and it is amazing I can't believe how big the city really is. Nothing like I had imagined. Looking beside me I do a double-take noticing neither my brother nor the Giant fellow beside me, I must have looked like a right tourist.
Looking more down the street I release a sigh of relief as I spot the tall Giant further down on the path thankfully he is so tall he is easily spotted over the tops of the crowd, doing a quick jog like run I finally catch up with the both of them seeming to have lagged behind dazzled by the attractions that I got left behind.
"- All students must be equipped with... one standard size two pewter cauldron and may bring if they desire either an owl, a cat or a toad." Harry reads aloud finishing as he reads off of the letter in hand, I tiptoe slightly to look over his shoulder to have a look at the long list we have to get before heading to the new school. "Can we find all this in London? Hagrid" I question as I glance up at the man who towers over me and my Brother cause the only place I can think of that maybe we could get these items would be a fancy dress shop.
"If you know where to go" he smiles looking down at the two of us as we walk alongside him, he guides us towards a store on the corner of the street called The Leaky Cauldron. As we enter the store light music and chatter can be heard as both my twin and I follow Hagrid through what I predict an old-time pub, not a store, Hagrid heads up to the bar where an elderly man stands waiting on the public handing out drinks.
The barkeeper looks up at the sight of Hagrid a grin pouring onto his face as he hands his last customer he was serving a drink "Ah, Hagrid! The usual, I presume?" he questions getting ready to make Hagrid a drink which must mean that he is a regular here.
"No thanks, Tom. I'm on official Hogwarts business today. Just helping the young twins here buy their school supplies" Hagrid states indicating to the two of us that are standing slightly behind him his huge size hiding us from the barkeep.
"Bless my soul." Tom the barkeeper starts as he looks at the two of us I feel Hagrid's hand on my shoulder as he pushes both me and my brother in front of his large form in full view. "It's Harry and Willow Potter" I gulp as the music and the light chatter in the room come to a complete halt as we have seemed to grab everyone's attention.
A man springs out of his chair and comes over to where both me and my Brother stand, I quickly take a step back myself which results in bumping into Harry and Hagrid. The man that comes over, reaches out taking Harry's hand in his own and giving what looks like a firm shake. "Welcome back, Mr Potter, Miss Potter welcome back" he states giving me a tip of the hat which I greatly appreciated.
A lady comes over she reaches out her hand towards me taking a deep breath I also do the same and shake the ladies hand "Doris Crockford, Miss Potter. I can't believe I'm meeting you at last". A man in robes with a turban on his head appears next, he seems a bit wary at first as he approaches us "Harry and Willow P-potter. C-can't tell you how pleased I am to meet you" he looks down at us a bit of a stutter in his sentences.
"Hello, Professor. I didn't see you there. Harry, Willow, this is Professor Quirrell. He'll be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts" Hagrid mentions. I look up at the Professor Quirrell in question I would have thought the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher would be scarier or even how do I say this... have balls? No that sounds rude I may be judging before I've seen him teach.
"Oh, nice to meet you." both Harry and I say together as Harry Puts out his hand to be polite in this new greeting however, Professor Quirrell refuses. "F-fearfully fascinating subject. N-not that you need it, e-eh, Potters? Heheh." The Professor questions as he looks to the two of us "Yes, well, must be going now. Lots to buy. Heh." Hagrid states as he guides both me and Harry away Harry looks back and smiles at the professor saying a quick Good-bye.
