Chapter 11: Alohomora?
Holding my books close to my chest I try and keep up with the fast pace of my twin brother and an excited Ron "Seeker? But first years never make their house teams! You must be the youngest Quidditch player in-" Ron gets cut off through his rant by my brother "A century" I smile as Harry also can not contain his excitement now knowing the achievement he has gotten. "This is according to McGonagall and I can not be prouder bro you'll smash it" smiling I look up at him.
It was weird we both thought for sure we were going to get thrown out, but it wasn't how it turned out at all. Professor McGonagall was thrilled that Harry agreed, I'm happy for him but for me, the Quidditch games seem too violent well that is what Hermione portraits it to be. I am happy just to watch from a distance and pray Harry is careful.
I feel the presences beside me however before I can even look up at the person to join our walk their arm drapes over my shoulder as I slowly turn my gaze to look up at no other than Fred, one of the Weasley twins. Looking across to the other side of Ron the other twin George smiles as he looks my way as he walks alongside his youngest brother.
"Hey, well done, Harry, Wood's just told us!" Fred grins as he lightly pushes my Brother slightly with the arm that was originally wrapped around my shoulder before he places it back again. "Fred and George are on the team, too. Beaters" Ron Looks up at his two older Brothers in adoration for being on the Quidditch team.
"Our job is to make sure that you do not get bloodied up too bad" I relax a little knowing at least the twins will be looking after my brother in the gaming field "Can not make any promises, of course. Rough game, Quidditch."I elbow Fred in the side who looks down at me smiling innocently "Brutal. But no one's died in years." I feel Fred's arm disappears as he walks alongside his own twin to walk a different way down the hallway "Someone will vanish Occasionally" I narrow my eyes on him, now I think he moved so I couldn't hit him for making me worry about my brother's possible disappearance.
"But they will turn up in a month or two" George shouts at us as Harry pulls me along with him and Ron so I don't go hit the twins upside the head for making me worry more bout the game my brother has gotten himself into.
Ron also notices my nerves are on edge as Harry is probably now going to reconsider playing for my own benefit about entering the game. "Oh, go on Harry, Quidditch is great. Best game there is! And you'll be great too!".
Noticing Hermione, who also notices us, jumps up out of her seat on the stone brick wall to join us as we walk along the courtyard "But I've never played quidditch. What if I make a fool of myself?" he questions doubting himself before he even trains to do it.
"You won't make a fool of yourself " I state believing in my brother even if It does make me fear for his life "Anyways it's in your blood" I turn to Hermione confused as a smile plays at her lips as she takes us to a massive trophy case pointing at a plaque of previous well-known quidditch players.
My eyes widen as my gaze falls upon my dad's name he was a seeker "Whoa guys you never said your father was a seeker too". Ron pouts thinking we left out a detail that we didn't even know ourselves. "W..we didn't know" Harry mutters as he just stares at the plaque with our father's name on it.
After a little while of staring at the Quidditch players from many years back, we decided that we will head back to the Griffindor den to relax. Walking on the staircase I watch Harry and Ron in front as I walk with Hermione "I'm telling you, it's spooky. She knows more about you than you do" Ron whispers to Harry probably hoping that Hermione doesn't hear him but If I heard I'm sure she most probably did herself.
Hearing a rustling behind I turn my gaze to see one of the railings disappearing behind us thinking nothing of it I carry walking up the stairs that was until the staircase that me and the others were on starts to move also. I grab ahold of the railing as Ron jumps in fright grabbing the railing himself as well as Hermione. "What's happening?" Harry questions as he looks back puzzled "The staircase changes remember?" Hermione states as the staircase stops in a new place. Not the direction we was wanting to go.
