Chapter 18: Restricted Section
"Ένας αόρατος άνθρωπος είναι ισχυρός" I mumble out loud as I remember the encryption on the ring it was Greek translated to something on the lines of 'An invisible man is a powerful one' or something like that. Not a hundred per cent sure that translating spell even worked properly that, plus actually managed to find one in one of Hermione's books she had left for me to study with.
Whoever wears the ring and activates the spell cast on it turns themself invisible to the naked eye. what a weird engraving to have on a ring.
"SHHH Willow" I stick out my tongue in the direction of the floating lantern that my brother is holding out from under his cloak. "Yea cause me talking is going to give us away, what about the floating lantern roaming the hallways" I mumble under my breath as Harry glares in my direction. "Jeeze Sorry" rolling my eyes I follow behind my brother as we walk through the dark empty library the only light is the small glow of the floating candle.
Looking past my brother the light stops at a locked wired door 'Restricted Section' in bold letters hang at the top of the door. Harry turns my way as I walk up to the locked door nothing's ever locked pulling out my wand I point it towards the door "Alohomora" the lock unclicks as I push on the door opening it up wide for my brother.
We both walk into the Restricted Section of the library looking around nothing seems to have much of a difference between the style of how it's all shelved but what I don't understand is if they do not want students to read these types of books why have them in the school, to begin with.
Harry pauses looking down one of the aisles reading the sections the books are in "Famous fire eaters... 15th Century Fiends... Flamel... Nicholas Flamel... where are you?" He mumbles mainly to himself as he places the lantern on the countertop and takes off his cloak.
"ορατός" placing my wand on the countertop I watch as harry climbs up on the counter to look through the books he picks one book off the shelf and climbs off the counter he opens up the book to the first page as he sets it down on the table suddenly the page starts to move on there own and stops in the middle of the book the words starts to scrunch up as a man's face appears and screams I lift my hand up covering my mouth to make sure I don't make a noise as harry slams the book close and puts it back on the bookshelf.
Ok, see the difference now the restricted section is like a horror show.
"Who's there?!" I turn to Harry as he turns and looks in my direction also as we give each other a knowing look there gonna find us look, I look down at my hand remembering that this time we could actually get out of this without Filch knowing that we were here.
Grabbing my wand off the table, Harry grabs his cloak, the cloak catches the lamp at the same time knocking it off balance as it falls and shatters on the floor, turning down the aisle I didn't realise Harry stopped in his tracks as I collide into his back I look over his shoulder to see a glow starting to come closer from behind a bookcase in the distance.
"I know you're in there. You can't hide." Filch shouts on his way and in a hurry, "αόρατος" I whisper as I wave my wand glancing down at the ring the writing on it glows blue thankfully the spell worked as I turn to Harry just in time to see him throw his cloak on as Filch turns the corner "Who is it? Show Yourself".
Harry nods his head in the direction of the exit which was the way Filch had just come from which means trying to walk around him without him figuring out we were there or currently still is. I take a deep breath as I slowly try and tiptoe around him as he starts to adventure more into the restricted section to find the culprit who has snuck in.
