Hanjis POV

Ever since me and Levi started dating he's been really protective and caring....well only twords me. An expedition was coming up and I was going to lead a new squad.

I went to Erwins office to find out my new squad I would be leading on their first expedition.

"Erwin" I said saluting.

"Yes hanji?" He asked letting me in.

"I was wondering who was going to be in the squad I was leading on the expedition." I asked

"Oh yes, here are their background information" he said handing me documents.

(These are gonna be oc characters for um...a reason you'll find out later)

"Thank you Erwin" I said grabbing the documents.

I went back to my room looking at the Different people. I stumbled upon one...it was Lilly....my heart sank a little bit knowing she was going on her first expedition early I decided to read the others.

Emma- she does well in her class, gets along with everyone, smart and is good in the air.

Riley- has a good score in her class, more of a hot head but will get along when must, smart.

Kyle- he has a good score in class, he's a showoff, always likes to do things on his own, not so smart, excellent in the air.

Lilly- she has an excellent score in class, a team leader, intelligent, and excellent in the air.

I grinned, I have a good group it will be very interesting to work with them. I set the papers down and heard a knock at the door.

"Come in!" I yelled.

Levi Walked in holding a tray of food "you forgot to eat shitty glasses" he said setting the tray on my desk.

"Ah thank you Levi" I said as I kept writing in my paperwork.

"What are working on?" He asked looking at me.

"Im leading a new squad on the expedition so I'm writing a note to moblit that he will be leading my squad" I said finishing my note.

"Who's in your new squad" Levi asked.

"Some new rookies they look promising but I'm worried" I sighed.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because Lilly is in the group and she isn't that experienced remember...." I stopped myself....

Levi sighed "it's alright hanji.... farlan and Isabel may have not been experienced but they dealt with an abnormal Titan.....and I wasn't there to protect them..." He said looking down.

I hated bringing up Isabel and farlan twords Levi.... Because it always made him sad....

"I think it's good your going to be with her.... Because your a skilled soldier and you can be there to protect her and them...." Levi said.

I walked up to him and embraced him he hugged me back as I held him...."I'm sorry Levi..." I said running my fingers through his hair.

"Its ok hanji...." He said hugging me tightly.

I held him close and we just stayed there....we eventually broke apart and he told me to eat, I did and he seemed to enjoy seeing me eat.

After I finished eating he decided to come with me to meet my new squad since the expedition was tommorow....

When I arrived I saw a group of cadets arguing between eachother.... I cleared my throat getting there attention.

"Hello new cadets I will be your squad leader for the upcoming expedition" I said.

They gave me their full attention....

"My name is hanji Zoe, what is y'all's" I asked smiling.

"I'm Emma crane" a short girl said smiling.

She reminds me of Petra a bit...

"I'm Kyle rein" a tall boy said confidently

"I'm Riley Brown" a tall girl said.

"And I'm Lilly...just lilly" Lilly said.

The others looked at her than at me. They saluted "nice to meet you squad leader Zoe" they said.

I nodded "nice to meet y'all too" they then turned there attention to Levi and looked at Him nervously.

"Um squad leader Zoe....is captain l-levi in our squad" Kyle said nervously.

I looked over at Levi who had his normal scary face on intimidating the cadets.

"Nah he just came with me to meet y'all" I said.

They all relaxed "ok now! Since I'm not your permanent squad leader we need to go over some of my rules" I said sternly.

"1. We only fight Titans when we are needed too.
2. I'm the scouts researcher so we will be fighting the least ofcoarse in desperate situations kill the Titans at all cost.
3. We are a team I don't want to see anyone doing anything by themselves
4. Don't turn your back on anyone....we all want to return so please never abandon the other" I said the last rule coldly.

The all nodded "yes ma'am" they said.

I nodded "good I'll see y'all tomorrow get some rest, and one more thing".

They looked at me worriedly "always stay alert out there because titans could come out of nowhere" I said.

The nodded. "Ok y'all are dismissed get alot of rest" I said Leaving with Levi.

They dismissed and went back to their chambers.

"That was good" Levi said walking next to me.

"You think?" I said.

He nodded "they look promising, you've got a good bunch" he said grinning.

I smiled "I will make sure they all return to their families" I said confidently.

Levi looked at me with a worried look "just be careful ok hanji" he sighed.

I giggled "aww is captain Levi worried about his hanji" I joked.

"Tch shut up four eyes I'm just saying so you can remember it in your dense brain" he said annoyingly.

I gave him a playful shove "don't worry about me Levi I'll be ok I promise you that" I gave him a smile.

He tched "you look shitty you know that shitty glasses"

"I'm aware of that shorty" I joked.

We arrived back at my room "I've got some paperwork to finish your welcome to stay but I'll be up" I said sitting at my desk.

He sat on my bed "I'll stay to make sure you get some sleep four eyes, you have a big day tomorrow" he said.

"Yeah, yeah I know it's the same as always" I said writing on some paperwork.

He sighed it was silent as the only thing heard was the scribbling of my pencil in my papers. After a few hours I yawned stretching my arms and back. I glanced over at Levi who was asleep in his sitting position.

I smiled "I guess I'll go to bed now" I said quietly.

I walked over to him I put my hand on his shoulder, he flinched awake and looked at me "sorry, didn't mean to wake you up" I said laying down on the bed.

He sighed "it's fine atleast your going to sleep" he said laying next to me.

I smiled as he cuddled into my chest "goodnight hanji" he said.

I held him close "Goodnight Levi" we both fell asleep as the next day was going to be tiring.
