Hanjis POV

I wake up and Levi was already out of bed...I figured he went and got us some breakfast. I stretched my arms and got up.

I changed into some morning clothes and started working on paperwork. Soon Levi came in my room holding a tray of food.

"Your finally awake now four eyes" he said setting the tray on my desk.

I nodded "yeah just woke up I was working on paperwork" I said Walking to the desk with my food on it.

I began eating my food and I saw Levi Watching me eat while he was drinking his tea.

I finished eating and sighed "what's up Levi?"

He looked at me confused "what do you mean?"

"You were watching me eat the whole time"

He blushed "tch can I not watch my girlfriend eat?"

I smiled "nah it's fine Levi I'm just teasing you"

He tched and finished his tea. "So what are your plans today Levi?" I asked curiously.

He sighed "mostly training the new cadets and hoping Lilly would finally leave her goddamn room"

I lifted my eyebrow "what's wrong with Lilly?"

"She's been like you skipping training and not leaving her room, her friend brings her food and reports everything that's wrong with Lilly to me" he explained.

I nodded and sighed "I'll go talk to her".

Levi nodded "thanks hanji"

"Yeah yeah I'll do it in order for a kiss" I said grinning.

He tched and walked over to me and kissed me, I kissed back.

We broke apart "happy now four eyes" he said.

I nodded "thanks Levi".

We both left my room and he went to the training grounds while I went to Lilly's room.

I Knocked on her door and heard no response....I knocked again and still no response....

I open the door to see Lilly in bed wrapped in her blanket...

I sat next to her on the bed and sighed "hey Lilly...."

She didn't reply.....

I put my hand on her shoulder "Lilly please let me talk to you ok....."

She didn't respond.

"Lilly I know it's hard....I know it hurts....the pain of seeing your comrades die in front of you.....I'm sorry....I'm sorry I failed y'all as a captain....I promised y'all.....I promised y'all would return home safely....but look at me now....came back with 2 people who now are scarred....." I started letting tears.... "Lilly....I'm sorry I didn't protect y'all or them....it should have been me who died....I'm sorry....but please you have to move on-"

She cut me off "MOVE ON! WHY WOULD I MOVE ON.... WHY!" she yelled furiously.

"Because that is how life is Lilly....it never stops....it just keeps moving....."

She looked at me wide eyed and stayed quiet.

"Everyone has to move on at one point Lilly....it's the only way we can keep living with ourselves....it hurts ya I know....I've lost many of my friends....all of them devoted their hearts for humanity....what did I do?....I watched them die right in front of me....all I could do was say goodbye and not let them down....I keep fighting for them....I've made a promise to keep fighting and protecting everyone I love till I die....I cant give up....I have to keep fighting....." I said letting out my tears.

"Hanji...."

I looked at her "Lilly you have to keep fighting....for Kyle and Emma....do you think they would be happy to see you give up....they didn't die just for you to mourn over them...."

She stayed quiet and started crying. "Lilly moving on is the hardest thing in life....it never was easy and it never will be....but just always remember them... whenever you feel like giving up remember that they died so you could keep fighting.... remember that...." I said getting up.

I started walking away when I heard Lilly ball my name.

"Hanji...."

I turned to see her, she clenched her fist and saluted to me. "Thank you..." She said quietly.

I nodded and left the room....I walked outside to see Levi working with the cadets, I walked over to him.

He noticed my presence and sighed "how did it go?" He asked crossing his arms.

"I did my best we just have to wait" I sighed.

Then the cadets stared at the entrance.... I turned to see lilly in her uniform.

She ran twords me and Levi then stopped in front of us....

"Captain Levi I apologise for my absence the past couple of days....I am ready for your commands" she said saluting.

Levi nodded "go run with the rest of the brats" he said coldly.

Lilly nodded and took off with the other cadets.

I looked at Levi and smiled "I guess I got through to her"

He grinned "thanks four eyes"

We watched the other cadets train until it was the end of the day. All the cadets returned to their rooms for rest Lilly joined with her friend Riley.

Me and Levi went to Erwins office because we were both called to his office.

We sat down he gave us a deep sigh and told us another expedition was coming up....

I wasn't startled I nodded and accepted the fact....

"Hanji I was wondering if you wanted to except Lilly and Riley to your squad" Erwin explained.

I shook my head "sir in my opinion I think it would be best if Lilly had her own squad"

He lifted an eyebrow "explain?"

I sighed "lilly is more of a leader than a follower I've noticed it on our last expedition, she called all the shots and kt managed the safety of me, her and Riley....yes we did loose people but I take the blame....if it wasn't Lilly I would probably be dead...I know she's pretty young but with good teaching from us she could be a great squad leader"

Erwin nodded then looked at Levi "Levi, What do you think?"

Levi sighed "I agree with hanji, Lilly has been doing good in her training, and she cleans decently"

I smiled then looked at erwin who was nodding.

"Ok thank you Hanji and Levi, I will take it Into consideration y'all are dismissed" erwin said dismissing us.

We nodded then left, I sidehugged Levi holding him tightly.

He tched as we kept walking to my room.

I was glad that I had him...
