sua and the demise hadn't seen much of nct since that night all together. with the amount of content they were releasing, it made sense.
they got to spend christmas together—well, hui and doyoung went to meet his family. apparently, the eldest twin got along better with doyoung's dad than his mom, mainly because the idol asked his girlfriend to take one of his instagram pictures instead of his mom.
hyeseon spent most of the holiday playing just dance with johnny, mark, and even hendery and some of the others joined. it was funny hearing how competitive the girl got with the other members of nct.
sua spent the holidays with hyuck. they stayed in bed most of the time, just cuddling and watching movies, but the girl wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
now, it was jisung's birthday and the demise hadn't seen the members in weeks. sua didn't realize how much she'd miss having the idols around, not until she only saw them through her screen.
raking her thin fingers through her short hair, sua huffed a sigh. when she heard one of the bedroom doors click, the noirette dropped her head over the side of the couch to get a look at who it was. unsurprisingly, an upside-down hyeseon appeared in the younger's vision, and sua released a little giggle when the elder noticed the oddly positioned roommate.
"in sua, what the hell are you doing?"
the said girl shrugged, letting out a little scream when chip ran up and started licking her forehead. sua sat up, ignoring the dizzy feeling of blood draining from her very red face, and motioned for the dog to jump up on the couch with her.
"innie!" hye scolded under her breath, shooting a quick glance at her twin's closed door. "huiseon's gonna murder you when she finds dog fur all over the couch."
the noirette ignored her roommate and continued petting and hugging chip. "but look at how happy he is~" the dog was panting with what appeared to be a large smile on his face.
rolling her eyes, hyeseon stared at the two giving her puppy eyes from the couch. the elder gave in, replacing her frown with a childish smirk before flinging herself next to chip and giving him a big hug. "ugh, how could i say no to you two?"
once the two girls were close enough to really see each other's outfits, hye's hands slowed from rubbing chip's golden coat. "in sua... are you not wearing pants?"
looking down at her bare legs, the noirette shrugged innocently. "what? no one's coming over anyway." the sad timbre in her voice was quite apparent to the elder, so she gave her roommate a little pout. "aw, missing hyuck hours?" sua could only nod her hanging head.
suddenly standing with so much enthusiasm that the younger girl jumped, hyeseon shot the noirette a bright grin. "don't you worry, babe! i'll get us some drinks. more espresso, less depresso!"
sua giggled shortly, placing her hands in her lap with a soft smile. "thanks, hye."
the final bedroom door was tossed open and a neat huiseon appeared. "no way am i letting you touch our brand new espresso machine." hye whined as she hugged the machine, which her sister was now trying to grab and hide.
