as expected, sua lost. but she did splashed the living hell out of the cheater once she reached the water.
"lee donghyuck." she scowled with crossed arms from the back seat of the car.
since the last group to arrive was unaware of the plan, they managed to get themselves out of the deal... meaning doyoung had to buy everyone ice cream. well, everyone except in sua—haechan made sure to emphasize that last part.
huiseon propped a knee against the headboard and rested her elbow on the window. she looked much more relaxed than before the trip, sua noticed, but she didn't mention it. she just assumed it had to do with the time spent with the "mom squad".
the noirette wasn't an idiot, she saw the way her elder kept to herself, even after moving in together. sua just learned to accept and love that about the girl. now that ryuhwa was back in their lives, the youngest wondered what would be in store for huiseon, since she and the auburn-haired girl were never as close as each girl was to hyeseon and sua.
tucking her palm beneath her chin, the youngest faced out the window and stayed that way for a long while. she watched the clouds follow their car, smiling softly to herself as she silently turned the puffs into different animals and objects.
sua probably would have spent the rest of the trip looking mindlessly out the window if not for hyeseon's spoken observations.
"that was fun, right? it didn't even feel like we were hanging out with idols." the noirette turned away from the sky and looked at her playful elder. "that's literally what i've been telling you for weeks."
"well... fuck you."
the two chuckled as huiseon released a tired sigh.
a calm quiet fell over the car once again, but it didn't last nearly as long as the first one. "i can not believe heo ryuhwa has been living literally right above us this whole time."
sua giggled when she pictured the final member of the demise. "i know, right? i feel so dumb for never realizing. like, what if i saw her in the lobby without even knowing?" hyeseon shrugged, "it's hard to miss a girl like that. she was always the one the boys likes, remember?"
"all the boys except jinyoung~" the youngest teased, causing the brunette to reach back and slap her with one hand.
"we—" hyeson smacked her lips and flicked a still-damp wave behind her shoulder, "—are going to pretend we didn't hear that." sua snickered under her breath, catching a slight grin from huiseon in the side mirror.
jinyoung was hyeseon's ex. they dated throughout most of the quarantine before breaking up over a month ago. sua only saw the bad bitch parts of her elder after the break-up, but then again, she wasn't the biggest fan of jinyoung to begin with. he seemed too desperate for a girlfriend, and the noirette thought her friend needed someone more mature to even out her silliness.
