FIFTH FLOOR .. lhc（✓）

DAY 26

"fuck," huiseon cursed under her breath. she made sure no one else was around, since she didn't typically swear around the youngers.

typically.

there was always an exception named min hyeseon.

huiseon placed a palm to her chest, taking very deep breaths as she tried to calm herself. her vision started blurring during her conversation with sua, but she'd been able to keep herself together long enough to get outside.

unfortunately, she was deathly afraid of heights.

refusing to go back inside as her energetic youngers greeted their guests, huiseon sat facing away from the skyline with her head between her arms. she should have known what a popular place the balcony was from all of her new roommate's run-ins with the idols, but she'd forgotten in her panicked state.

"jesus, are you okay?" the member's voice seemed fuzzy at first, but it got better the closer he got to the balled up girl.

huiseon inhaled to calm herself and gave lee taeyong a blank stare. "what do you mean? i'm perfectly fine." the idol's head fell to the side, clearly unfazed by her lies.

the girl sighed deeply and balanced her chin on her folded arms. "you caught me. i'm scared of heights."

"then why are you sitting on the balcony?"

when he was met with silence, taeyong flashed a gentle smile. "it's okay, i get it. is it okay if i stay here with you?" the elder twin was slightly taken aback by the question but didn't take more than a few seconds to nod.

without hesitation, taeyong dropped onto the ground in the same position as huiseon and scooted as close to the girl as he could. it was quiet between them, but neither found it awkward. it was kind of calming.

after three minutes passed, huiseon shifted her gaze onto the zoned out idol. "thanks, taeyong. for sitting with me, i mean." the said male sent her a soft smile, and huiseon allowed herself to smile back. 

"it's funny. i was supposed to go with the others for your little movie night, especially since howl's is one of my favorite movies, but..." he trailed off as if searching for the safest words to use, "i just didn't want to see them be all cute together, you know?"

huiseon felt like the air was sucked from her lungs. no way. she mindlessly tugged on a stray string on her navy blue sweater. "is it bad if i'm here for the same reason?"

taeyong's wide eyes darted towards the girl, his words rushed and high. "you like hyuck?" the girl let out an empty chuckle and ripped the string off her shirt.

"not exactly..."

there was a heartbeat of tense silence. then the boy released a low 'oh'. he faced his feet, a rather sad smile prinking at the corners of his lips. "ah, seriously in sua."

this time, huiseon let out a quiet laugh at the idol's comment. taeyong decided to break the new silence after another minute had passed. "does she know? sua?"

huiseon shook her head, still fiddling with the now loose piece of string. "i don't think so. but it wouldn't matter anyway. she liked haechan, and i want her to be happy."

"wow. that's a pretty awesome thing to say." huiseon faced him, brows drawn together in confusion. "what do you mean?"

taeyong shrugged. "that you're so selfless, i mean. i know people who would do everything in their power to have things their way." the silver-haired boy faced her, both his hair and eyes catching the moonlight in a way huiseon found stunning. "you're a great friend, huiseon. i hope we can get closer, one day."

it was strange to the girl. she'd seen this boy's face on her phone screen for years. she'd listened to him rap his heart out and pour his soul into dancing. but here, right now, he just looked like someone she wanted to befriend.

"sua's right," the girl suddenly chuckled, causing taeyong to tilt his head to the side as he waited for her to finish. she glanced up at him, a genuine smile adding a crinkle to her eyes. "you really are the aphrodite of idols."

sua and haechan were having a silent argument over the popcorn bowl as the other members watched the movie.

hyeseon had fallen asleep on johnny, and mark on hyeseon, which earned the sleeping girl some rather nasty glares from one jealous japanese idol. huiseon was back and sitting beside doyoung as they shared their own bowl of popcorn. jaehyun and taeyong sat on the floor in front of jungwoo and taeil, since all four arrived late and the first two lost their seats to rock-paper-scissors.

"hyuck," the youngest scolded silently when the bowl was pulled from beneath her grasp. she tried scowling at him, but the boy only laughed at her. "you look so cute!" he whispered back, amused by the way her cheeks turned pink.

sua slapped him on the arm with her sleeve so that it wouldn't make a noise. haechan was seriously struggling to keep his giggles quiet, but he found the girl's angry faces to funny.

the noirette unconsciously moved closer to the idol, causing him to momentarily panic. the boy swallowed hard when sua dropped her head on his shoulder. "you're so tiring. i can't win against you."

"no one can, so don't beat yourself up over it." the girl landed an elbow to his ribs, which didn't affect the idol in the slightest.

"tired?" donghyuck asked in a soft voice. sua nodded against his shoulder, feeling her eyes growing heavier and heavier by the second.

"comfy?"

the noirette couldn't help but smile as she nodded her head once again. maybe it was the large blue hoodie's padding, but sua thought she could fall asleep any moment.

the girl's eyes remained closed when she felt a new weight on her head, recognizing the feeling instantly and smiling to herself.

"comfy?" she whispered, voice barely audible. still, hyuck hummed a sound of agreement.

he'd let his head drop onto hers, but the idol still kept his hands folded respectfully over his chest. he didn't want to freak the half-asleep girl out with cheesy flirt attempts like the arm over the shoulder move in movies.

sua snuggled further into his shoulder, and they both fell asleep comfortable and smiling.
