turns out, taeyong didn't know dale...
... and dale was actually a girl.
it was a stray cat that the boy had been feeding and watching grow. since pets weren't allowed in the dorm, it lived comfortably in the little lawn chair. the pink boy liked calling her scarlett or letty (since he already had ruby), but sua was hellbent on calling the cat dale.
the noirette had awoken to the sun shining painfully in her eyes, but it meant no more rain. she was also gifted with stepping in a puddle with her favorite socks on.
"chip!" she'd scolded in distress, but the puppy only sat in front of his masterpiece with his tongue out proudly. it didn't take long to clean up, so sua found herself sprawled across her couch within ten minutes.
the girl lazily flipped through the shows available on netflix for what felt like hours. nothing seemed interesting to her, so she decided to turn to youtube.
she was about to watch some k-pop crack videos, which became part of her daily routine, when she noticed something new in her recommended.
sua didn't usually watch many videos of nct. even though they lived next door, they never talked to anyone in the building except when politely greeting elders and such. that was one of the reasons why sua was so shocked when taeyong first spoke to her.
of course, since she lived next to them and her friends-hyeseon-favored nct to other groups, sua knew plenty about them. she didn't find their units and numerous members difficult to understand, but she always kept herself from falling into the rabbit hole.
sua never wanted to make them uncomfortable. she was afraid that if she became attached to the members on her screen, she'd expect them to be just like their characters in real life.
that said, she had pretty much all their songs saved on her playlists. she admired them as artists and saw them as extremely talented.
the girl hesitated before clicking the recommended video.
literally just nct ruining twilight for two minutes.
most crack videos had a way of making the girl laugh, but this one had her cackling. it wasn't even that funny to her, but she just couldn't stop laughing. she bet this was the kind of content hyeseon lived on.
sua only realized how much time had passed when the 20% notification appeared on her screen.
the girl stilled, laughter ceasing. her phone had been fully charged when she laid down.
she checked the time to see that five hours had passed since finding the recommended video. "oh boy," she dragged anxiously, checking her notifications to see multiple missed messages from the twins.
