today was the day the twins were officially moving in, which meant hyuck's stay would be over. truthfully, sua was a bit sad to be without the idol, but she'd get her two best friends in return.

the temporary roommates had started getting ready for the day before realizing how hungry they were. sua looked up from her spot on the barstool catching donghyuck's eyes and silently conversing the single most important word she could muster: pancakes?

the boy's eyes narrowed in scripted determination, lips quirking into a smirk. and then they were both racing to the kitchen.

within the next three minutes, the pair were admiring the counter, which was now covered in various cooking ingredients. "this is going to be fun." "it'll be a mess." sua shot the boy a quick scowl. "fine. a fun mess."

the noirette shook her head, twisting around to get the never-used apron that she'd previously grabbed for extreme pancaking. the boy next to her raised a brow as, observing her as she struggled to tie the strings behind her back. seeing her face contort into one of frustration made hyuck laughed.

"need some help there?"

sua refused to meet his eyes, perfectly aware that she did in fact need help. instead, she blew a fallen short hair from her face and turned so that her back was facing the idol. though she couldn't see his face, sua could almost feel his bright smile on the back of her head. she didn't even notice when a small grin kissed her own lips.

donghyuck grabbed the untied strands, a deep smirk settling on his face as an idea popped into his head. quickly twirling his hands to get a tight grip on the strings, the boy gave them a hard tug, and an unconscious gasp passed through the girl's lips as she was pulled into hyuck's chest.

sua's face burned bright red and she was glad he couldn't see. donghyuck, on the other hand, lowered his head until his lips hovered above her ear. then, he obnoxiously sang the tune to 'blue breeze blow' by second moon.

the instant she heard the ost, sua huffed and folded her arms over her chest. "you're so cliche!"

hyuck let out a gleeful chuckle, head tilting back. "you love it~"

sua ignored the chocolate haired boy and waited for him to finish tying her apron before stepping away. the idol pulled his own apron on and made sure to meet the girl's eyes as he crossed the strings behind his back before pulling them in front of him. sua glared at him, clearly embarrassed that she hadn't thought of that. her expression made both the boy's brows raise and eyes close to mock her.

"it's okay, beau. not everyone's a genius like me." he peeked an eye open to see her unchanged face and flash a cheeky smile, but to his surprise, she wore a cunning grin.

"alright, mister genius," she took a step towards him, arms still crossed, "you do know beau means handsome, right?"

the boy's face paled, but he scoffed it off as his lips tugged back into a smirk. "in sua, it's 2020. a girl can be called handsome, too."
