"wait wait wait, you don't wanna do this!" sua pleaded as she crawled away from the figures in front of her. she'd given it her all; fought as hard as she could, but they were just too much. there was no escape anymore.
"i'm sorry beau... this is the way it has to be." "hyuck—"
"you heard the man, innie. this is goodbye."
sua swallowed hard, trying to think of ways to distract them long enough for her to make a final run for it.
"uh, we never really introduced ourselves, haha, but uh, sorry? you seem, like, really cool." sua nodded, breaking character long enough to low-five the boy slightly to her right. "thanks mark, you seem cool, too."
the noirette dropped back onto the sand, backing away with shaking pupils. "please, i'm begging you." sua glanced around frantically for someone—anyone who could come to her aid.
jungwoo, taeil, jaehyun, and taeyong were playing with a volleyball, doyoung and huiseon were chatting under an umbrella, ryuwon was basking in the sun like the queen she is, yuta was threatening to drop a girl (whom sua assumed was ryuwon's sister) into the ocean, and johnny was nowhere to be seen.
"i guess... this is the end." sua exclaimed dramatically, tipping her head back to get a good look at her murderer's faces. "it's been fun, lads." "you were a good person, in sua." sua nodded, closing her eyes as she prepared herself to be pelted with sand balls.
instead, three surprised screams were heard, followed by the loud sound of laughter. when the noise started to fade, sua peeked an eye open before sitting up with a burst of laughter.
her knight in shining armor, sir john, had swooped all three sand-wielding heathens into his arms and was now approaching the sea of doom. the noirette jumped to her feet, brushing herself off and cackled as she watched hyeseon, hyuck, and mark all fall into the water. many other members were laughing as well, even the ones who had gotten dunked.
sua continued laughing as she ran towards the four. hearing her approach by the sound of her giggling, johnny spun and picked sua up next.
"yay! my hero!" she called playfully, which only made johnny chuckle more. "you were at an unfair disadvantage. i was only evening the playing field."
the gentle giant placed sua back on her feet and patted her on the head. an obnoxiously loud laugh sounded from behind the two, and they spun around to see doyoung pointing and cackling at the sea.
turning their heads in unison, sua and johnny stifled their own chuckles when their eyes fell on the three completely soaked figured standing rather depressingly on the shore. when the eldest of the trio met sua's squinted gaze, a devilish grin crossed her entire face.
the noirette's eyes widened in pure fear and she let out a small squeak before sprinting away from hyeseon.
as the two girls ran all over the beach, johnny was basically helping haechan attempt to drown doyoung while jungwoo and ryuwon took part in their own conversation, and yuta left the girl to go bother mark.
