i was sitting on the couch reading a book when grayson yelled my name. i figured he just wanted to bother me so i ignored him at first. a couple minutes go by and he won't stop yelling my name and i finally yelled back.

"WHAT GRAY!"
"do you wanna go on a date?" i ran upstairs and he was sitting on our bed.
"yes."
"okay, don't be mad but ethan and britt are coming."
"okay i don't care. i haven't seen them in forever."
"really?"
"yeah. it's different now that we're older i don't see the bitch anymore." i laughed.
"okay good but we're dressing up."
"wait who's watching their kids?"
"my mom."
"are you sure? we can stay home and i'll watch them." i said, feeling bad.
"it was my moms idea. she wanted them to spend the night and cam is back in town? she'll be okay."
"okay." i laughed
"can we please have a kid? i want to see you getting worked up like this about my seeds." i laughed.
"okay we can have a kid, if you promise me you'll be home more, ethan too."
"we are home more?"
"grayson you guys go to la once a month for a week."
"okay and?"
"you can only say that because we don't have any kids. ethan has two kids and a wife." i said.
"it's only a week kai! your overreacting." he said
"i'm not overreacting! and you want to have a kid? no way in hell, not right now."
"are you serious?"
"yes i'm serious grayson. ethan only goes because he doesn't have the balls to tell you that he doesn't want to go."
"what?"
"fuck, um, i was just kidding?"
"no what did you say?"
"promise you won't be mad."
"tell me."
"okay so ethan wanted me to tell you this, just not like this. he's out pretty much. he hates la and he wants to be home to watch his kids grow up." there was a long pause. i fucked up.
"gray?" i said again.
"i'm fine. i just wish he would've told me." he said in a low voice.
"he said he hinted at it but you couldn't notice." i said looking at the ground.
"babe, i don't want to go tonight."
"we're going wether you like it or not. you can drink, i'll drive." i said
"i'm only going because your cute." he laughed and kissed me.
"so you'll drive home?" i smiled.
"maybe." he said and kissed me again.
"quit, i know what your trying to do!"
"what?" he said
"your trying to make me horny so we can stay in." i said and walked away.

we were finally ready and we were going to go meet them at the restaurant that's half an hour away. i was driving because my car looks better than his and i never drive it. i was driving and i looked over at him and he was just staring at me.

"what?" i said
"your beautiful."
"thanks honey." i smiled.
"i guess we are getting old." he laughed
"yeah."

after about twenty minutes of us listening to music, we were there. we saw ethan's car so we just headed inside. it was beautiful but i feel like i could've dressed up better. i looked at grayson and punched his arm.

"gray you could've told me to dress up better!" i whispered in his ear.
"your wearing a dress?"
"yeah but i have nicer ones." i said
"your so picky." he laughed.
"whatever." i rolled my eyes and he kissed my forehead. it made me smile.

the host asked for our name and then we got seated. when we headed to our table britt was wearing a black long dress that showed leg on both sides.  she looked gorgeous.

"oh my god, i have that same dress in red!" i said giving her a hug.
"really!"
"yes, grayson just said 'dress up', that's why i look like this." i lightly laughed.
"you look great babe." he said
"thank you." i sat down and gave him a kiss.
"ew." ethan said.
"oh shut up, kaden doesn't even 'ew' us." grayson said and i laughed.
"he walked in on us." britt said
"now that's gross." grayson and i laughed.
"whatever, when are you guys finally going to have one?" ethan said. grayson and i looked at each other.
"never." grayson and i said at the same time.
"why not?" ethan said. we looked at each other again.
"it's nothing." we said at the same time.
"you guys are acting weird." britt said
"yeah, they really are. she wants a kid, i know she does." ethan said. i kicked him since was sitting across from me.
"ouch!" he said.

grayson looked at me and gave me a weird look and then our waitress came. talk about perfect timing. i smiled at her and she winked at me.

"what can i get you guys started off with?"
"water." grayson said.

he grabbed my hand and then leaned close to my ear and spoke. what he said literally crushed my heart 'we're about to go outside.' i smiled to cover up the suspicion of britt and ethan. he kissed my cheek and we walked outside after our waitress left. i left my phone and purse at the table. when we walked outside his smile dropped.

"can you tell me what's going on?"
"i want a kid, i'm just scared. you know this already."
"why?"
"because grayson, your never home even when you are in town. your always with ethan or out doing something with your friends. we barely have sex anymore gray." i whispered the last part because people were starting to stare.
"kai, so you talk to my brother about it instead of me?"
"yes, we barely talk anymore. can we talk about this when we're on our way home? i'm freezing."
"yes, i'm sorry princess. i love you." he kissed my forehead and we walked back inside.

after we got done eating grayson and i headed to mcdonald's. we just wanted ice cream because they have the best ice cream. he parked the car in their driving lot because i had something to drink.

"yes?" i looked at him and laughed.
"i'm sorry."
"look don't be sorry, i was just letting my fee-"
"no you weren't. i'm sorry, i should be home more and your not a second choice. i should always make sure your feeling okay."
"thank you gray." i gave him a kiss.
"give me a week." i said
"for what?"
"so we can make a baby, i'm about to start my period."
"i thought-"
"i missed my appointment forever ago and just took it as a sign." i laughed.
"oh my goodness i'm going to be a dad!"
"if i get pregnant." i laughed.
"oh trust me, you will."
"okay daddy." i said and kissed him
"i love you." he said licking his ice cream.
