kais pov
i just woke up and grayson was laying on my chest and had his hand on my cheek that wasn't bruised. i moved his hand carefully so i could get up. he woke up though.

"sorry. go back to sleep babe."
"kai it's 2 in the morning. i just fell asleep." he said
"i'm sorry."
"no babe that's not what i meant. why are you up? can you not sleep? does your cheek still hurt." he said in his deep sluggish voice.
"gray calm down. i've been sleeping since 8, but yes my cheek hurts really bad. do we have any advil?"
"i don't think so. you wanna go to the store and go get some?" he said grabbing my hand
"please." i said getting up
"yeah let's go."

i had on sweatpants and a weird looking shirt so i wanted to take it off. me forgetting about my cheek still hurting the shirt irritated it and it hurt even more. grayson came over to me worried turning the light on and looking at my cheek. i had a tear running down my face.

"babe maybe we should go to the hospital." he said
"what are they going to do about it? they're just going to tell me that it's going to have to heal on it's own." i said pissed off
"okay then please be more careful. i already feel shitty as it is." he said
"gray it's not your fault. it's no ones. now can you help me put on a sweatshirt?" i said

he just shook his head yes and helped me with the sweatshirt. we got in the car and drove to walmart. when we went it of course i was getting dirty looks already. my cheek is swollen and grayson didn't do it. i was getting all kinds of looks when i wore shorts out in public when i was with jackson. i just hate that grayson didn't do it and i'm still getting dirty looks. we went to ask a worker to see which one works the best.

"hey excuse me do you know which one works the best for pain?" i said
"oh my god what happened?" the worker said
"i ran into a pole?"
"shaped like a hand? yeah right. come with me." she said grabbing my hand
"wait but my boyfriend." i said
"don't worry i'll call the cops." i yanked my arm from her
"what are you talking about? my boyfriend didn't do this to me! someone crazy guy did when i was trying to get my friends kid back. i just wanted to know which advil works the best. i'm leaving."
"wait your her! oh my god your so brave!" she said
"what are you talking about!" i yelled
"your all over the news 'bestfriend made a plan with cops to help get baby back' very inspirational."
"i'm leaving after i find my boyfriend." i said

i was looking for my phone in my pockets and realized i left it in the car. grayson probably saw a fan or something and got sidetracked and is looking for me. i didn't want to be here all night so i yelled marco.

"POLO!" it wasn't grayson
"shut up!" i said
"kai that's rude." grayson said coming up behind me
"whatever let's go. where's the advil?" he said
"i'm not getting it."
"you have to or we're going to the hospital." he said
"looks like we're going to the damn hospital." i said and walked off to the car.

graysons pov
kai has been upset ever since she woke up. i don't want to push her to talk but i don't want her to be mad at the world either. this was a lot on her and i feel shitty for letting her go through with it.

"princess?"
"yes?"
"are you okay?" i said looking at her for a second
"no."
"do you want to talk about it?"
"no."
"okay." i didn't want to push her. it just happened.

we get to the hospital and i saw a fan and we took a picture. kai looked at us and smiled. even with swollen eyes and a cheek she's beautiful.

kais pov
i have to get checked up on my own because they wouldn't let grayson in.

"did he do this?"
"oh my fucking gosh, no! he wouldn't lay a finger on me. why do people keep asking me that?" i said
"your walking around with a giant handprint on your face. sorry for being blunt but it's the truth." the nurse said to me.
"well the guy who did it is jail." i took a deep breathe
"oh my gosh your her! bes-"
"i get it. can you just tell me what's wrong?" i said
"oh right. nothings wrong it should go down in 2-5 days but you should keep it iced and take this medication. it's not strong and you will only take one pill every 3 hours depending on the pain. don't rely on this just try to push through but if you absolutely need to stop the pain take one."
"thanks can i leave now? sorry don't mean to be blunt." i said and smiled
