"I'm With Her Now"

Part Two of "I love you" and part two of the request from my bestie Squarebear7  🖤💜 I hope you enjoy...

It had been two weeks since Piper's death, Finn was broken inside. He had been hit hard as expected, he's not answered anyone's calls, he's stayed in his bedroom the whole time, he hasn't eaten anything, barely drinking and suffering in silence. That would be until today...today is Piper's funeral. Everyone was going, for some reason he felt an urge not to attend, he didn't want people giving him sympathy, people coming up to him and saying "she would be proud of you" because in his mind she would be the complete opposite, ashamed and angry. It was his fault that she died, if he had protected her or found her faster she would still be alive, she would still be with him, laughing and smiling.

He didn't want to forget her, not just the way she looked but the sound of her voice, her scent, her laugh just the little things that he didn't treasure before hand. He eventually dragged himself up and took a shower, he felt numb as the hot water poured over his body, he didn't even have the energy to shampoo his hair, what was the point? It took him an hour to pluck up the courage to even wash himself, it sounded odd but he had nothing left to fight for. After he showered he did his usual process with his hair for 30minutes before changing into his black suit, it felt wrong, Piper would hate him wearing something this dark, and the outfit itself felt restrictive and uncomfortable, he didn't want to face it all. But he had to, for her, he had to say goodbye.

Her casket was being put in a room of their house for an hour before the funeral so the immediate family could pay their respects. When Finn arrived Deborah gave him a big hug, she was grateful to him, Piper may of died but she died with his arms around her, she died knowing that he loved her, she didn't die surrounded with hate, she died around people who she loved and also loved her, she loved Finn like her own, like she loved Riley. He needed a moment with her by himself.

He entered the room and saw her coffin resting on a stand in the centre, he was reluctant at first but approached slowly, he rested a hand on top of the coffin and read the metal plating, "Piper Rose Elizabeth Valentino"

Gone and Never Forgotten
He still couldn't believe she was gone, she was only 16years 4months and 6days old, she had left too soon, and too young, she would never become a forensic scientist, never get married, never have his kids, he looked down to his hand resting on the wood and watched his promise ring shine at him, they had got matching rings on their one month anniversary, just a week before Dancemania, he was still going to keep his promise, he didn't care if he was going to be single for the rest of his life, his heart was with Piper. It was at this point the tears started flowing as he lost sense of what was around him, "Why did you have to leave me baby?! Why!" He yelled out in pain, stumbling back and hitting the wall, sliding down it and sobbing, "We had plans!" He cried out, "Why!" He just sobbed louder and louder until Amy found him, curled up in a ball on the floor, she walked to him cautiously, they both shared one intense similarity, they both loved Piper so much and were both wracked with grief, it was going to be painful without her but they had each other, Piper would not wanted them to remain friends forever, she embraced him in a hug, as they both turned their gaze to the casket in front of them. He retraced his steps back to the where he was previously stood, "goodbye my sweet Angel, I love you baby, I love you Piper Rose" he whispered before bending down to kiss the wooden surface. Time for the service...

The service was beautiful, many eulogy's were spoken, making people tear up throughout the service, James, Deborah, Florence, Rosie and Amy had all finished their eulogy's and it was Finn's turn, he talked about their memories, their dates, her smile, her laugh and most of all how much he will love her and miss her forever , it was truly heartbreaking that they hadn't even got that far in their relationship before she was taken into the arms of heaven. As he watched the coffin being lowered into the ground, Henry gripped his hand tightly, knowing he needed to support his bestfriend through this, he took a rose a threw it into the ground, a tribute to her. After the burial James approached Finn, and didn't say anything he just hugged him..."thank you for holding her when she left, and for loving her because she really loved you" Finn was taken aback in the fact that her family were thanking him, he hadn't protected her! She was dead because of him! Why don't they see that?

Over the next week, Finn's mental health deteriorated rapidly, he had never felt more lonely in his entire life, he felt apart of him was missing and he had to get that back! He had to be with her once again, he couldn't stand the life he was in anymore...

That night, Finn wrote a letter to his family and friends and positioned it on his bedside table, before going into the bathroom and pouring as many pills as he could into his hand and swallowing each and every one of them, before getting into bed and falling asleep. Forever.

The next morning he was found unresponsive by his baby sister Star, who quickly alerted his mother, "Mummy, Finny isn't moving and he isn't listening to me shouting" was all she had to say for panic to rush through his mother. She rushed up and found him, pale, cold and without a pulse. He was gone. The ambulance crew tried to revive him but it was too late, he had taken his own life.

His elder sister took one last look in her younger brothers room and noticed the letter propped up on the side, picking it up and opening it to read the contents, she was immediately drawn to tears.

"Dearest Family and Friends,
It's me Finn, if you are reading this it probably means that you have found me...I just want you to know that none of this is your fault, I did this to save myself from the pain, and the guilt, I love you all so much and I'm going to miss dancing for you all. But please don't worry I'm with her now❤️
I love you forever, don't grieve me forever, please enjoy your lives ahead of you, I'll be watching you from heaven with my girl."

He had taken his life, but he was with the angels now...including his Angel, Piper.
