Happy Birthday! Or Not?

Its Finn's birthday, Piper has set up a surprise party in Studio A, obviously he doesn't know about it yet, the whole of A Troupe, B Troupe and J Troupe are there, as well as a couple of his school friends, His Mum is sadly at a work shift she can't get out of but his older sister might be able to join the party later...

Piper met her boyfriend on the front steps of his home, as he opened the front door she jumped at him wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY FINN!!" She exclaimed loudly causing the boy to chuckle. "Thanks Pipes, now where are we going?" He asked putting her down, taking her hand and walking to the car, "Right it's a surprise so I'm gonna have to blindfold you with this until we get there!" Piper answered while holding up a scarf...

"Are we there yet?" The curly haired boy asked for tenth time in 5minutes, "We are nearly but the rest is on foot with the blindfold of course" she chuckled while pulling into the studio car park. "Come on Pipes, Where are we?" He chuckled as he stumbled down the corridor to Studio A, still blindfolded of course, "ok just a few more steps...and open" She told him excitedly, as he pulled off the blindfold he was met with everyone yelling "SURPRISE!" Making him jump back slightly, "Woah! Thanks guys!" He exclaimed happily. "You can thank Piper, she planned it all" Amy chimed in with a big smile on her face. "Ah well let me have a kiss and then we'll get started" he responded cheekily before leaning in to kiss his girlfriend passionately and sweetly, when they pulled back slightly breathless, Finn announced, "let get this party started..."

About two hours into the Party, everyone was having a great time, people were dancing and having a little drink. In the yet to be renamed juice bar a tall man entered the small and colourful bar, he looked lost but he knew where  he was, he was dressed in a white shirt and black trousers and a teddy bear coloured jacket, he's aged in his mid forty's and is wandering aimlessly around the small cafe.His mysterious actions are noticed by Theo, who was sat with the rest of the band, Theo approached from the side on and tapped the stranger on the shoulder, causing him to jump slightly "Excuse me? Are you lost?" The young band member asked curiously, "uh yes! I'm looking for The Next Step Dance Studio, the address led me to this massive building" he answered confused, "ah well the studio is just through there, turn right and up the stairs and you'll see a door saying TNS on, the office is in studio A" Theo spoke intelligently (for once)  the man nodded in thankfulness before heading into the directions he was told...

Back in Studio A, Henry entered the studio with a cake, the words 'Happy Birthday Finn!' in bright blue icing a top what looked like a cardboard box imprinted with coloured fish on top. "1 2 3! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR FINNNN!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUU!!!" The mass amount of people sang loudly before a loud applause. "Make a wish!" Piper told her boyfriend excitedly kissing him on the cheek, The curly haired boy closed his eyes as a comfortable silence formed in the room "I wi-" "Finley?!" A voice interrupted, Finn opened his eyes as everyone in the room turned to look at this stranger dressed in a teddy bear coloured jacket. Finn was in disbelief, "Dad?" He asked confused, "I want you back Finley, and Hayley and Eliza for that matter" his father pleaded referring to him and his older and younger sisters, Piper was confused as Finn had told her his dad left them when he was 7. "NO!" Finn yelled at the man before running out of the room, "Finn wait!?" Piper called after him while running behind him along with Henry...

Finn reached the locker room, he was angry. His dad had left them 10years ago so why come back now, he couldn't contain his anger any further he started to punch his locker hard and fast, shouts of anger at every punch, Piper entered the locker room to the sight and couldn't believe her eyes. "Finn! Finn!" She cried pulling him on the shoulder to face her and holding him by the wrists, "Hey! Hey! Calm down" she told him softly, a tear slid down his cheek as he broke down in tears, he fell back onto the ground in front of the blue couch. He looked down to his hands in which his knuckles were bleeding, "I'm sorry!" He yelled, "Oh Finn" Piper soothed while lowering herself a top his lap and wrapping her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. The couple stayed in this hug for about a minute before Piper pulled back, she held his face softly and ran her thumbs under his eyes gently wiping his tears, "none of this is your fault" she whispered before kissing him...

Meanwhile in the office... Nick was attempting to calm down this stranger, the party had now disbanded with only a troupers left in the studio, "I think it's best you leave" Nick pleaded for the hundredth time , "No! I'm not leaving until I speak to my son!" The man repeated once more, a knock interrupted the bickering, "Ah Henry, How is Finn?" "Well you'll need his locker door repaired and Pipers with him" This led to a deep sigh from Nick, those lockers were expensive. "Who's Piper?" Finn's father asked, "his girlfriend" Henry answered bluntly before exiting the office...

After about 30 minutes of trying to persuade the man to leave, Finn and Piper emerged from the door, their hands intertwined. He looked to the office to see his father staring at him, he looked down to Piper "if you need me, I'll be with Amy, practicing our duet in studio A" she reassured him leading him to nod in understanding, Piper got onto her tippy toes and kissed his lips, he pulled her towards him by her waist not wanting to let her go, she pulled back "I love you" he whispered before she left his arms and joined Amy on the dance floor...

Finn and his father were stood there staring at one another, "Finley.." he began before Finn cut him off  "my name is Finn!"  He shouted, "I saw you at regionals, see I always knew you could win it!" The man tried to make conversation "You know, I hate you! You left us! You cheated on Mum with your co worker and left us for your new family! You know Eliza cried for months, thinking her daddy didn't want her, she was 4!" His father was there speechless, "I didn't know-" "you didn't care! Now grab your stuff and leave, and you are never going to contact me! Eliza! Or Hayley again!" Finn threatened, leading the man to walk out in shock. Piper saw him leave and ran up to Finn, wrapping her arms around his waist, he kissed the top of her head, if she was proud of him, who needs a father?...
