Prequel to "Detached"

It was a dance camp day at Stardom Dance Academy and 10 year old Finn was sat waiting for his Hip Hop class to start, he watched as his friends played on the small swing set located on the small patch of grass outside his studio, he sat on the bench twiddling at his feet, he was bracing himself for the weekends events, seeing his dad for the first time in 4months and meeting his step mum for the first time and his baby half brother whom he was convinced his dad loved more.  It didn't take long for his three best friends to notice his sadness, 9 year old Summer first went over to Kenzie, whispering something to her ear, "What are we whispering about!" The final member of the friend group Lily exclaimed, her shiny diva lip gloss making a sticky sound as she spoke, "Lily shh!" Summer told her, "Sorryyyy!" She whined back, "Finn looks sad, shall we go and see what's wrong?" Kenzie said aloud, "of course otherwise he's gonna be big sad in hip hop and he loves hip hop". The three girls slid down the slide they were stood atop of and made their way over to the blonde haired boy.

"Hi Finnnnn!!" Lily greeted, sliding along the bench next to him, his facial didn't change, "Hey Lils" he mumbled, Summer came up behind him and hugged him, "Whats wronggggg?" She asked elongating her words, "Well...I'm seeing my dad this weekend..." the girls perked their heads in confusion, "it's just that he doesn't like me dancing and he has a new wife and a new son and he probably hates me now but he loves Hayley still, but David...my other dad loves us both AND he loves to see me dance, he paid for some extra classes and everything! But my dad doesn't like David so I'm scared to go to see him, and I'm staying there for 2 nights!" Finn admitted, "Wait you get two daddies! That's so cool!" Lily exclaimed, she didn't fully understand why Finn was so scared, her dad was never around so having two sounded like a dream, "Yeah but one hates me!" Finn shrieked holding his head in his hands, "Well Finn look at it like this, you have your big sister with you and maybe your dad is different now" Summer mused happily, "Yeah it might be fun" Kenzie added, "yeah I guess, thanks guys" they stood up and hugged warmly in a group hug, "Lilliana! Finley! Summer! Mackenzie! Hurry up! Class is starting in 5minutes!" Their dance teacher, Miss Angela ushered the children back into the building...

Saturday morning came soon enough, Finn was dreading today, he pushed his cereal around the bowl anxiously, so much so that the fruity colouring of the fruity moons cereal started colouring the milk in all sorts of rainbow, the cereal had become a common occurrence at their house because of Finn's recent appearance in the advert. "Finn! Hayley!Come on it's time to go!" His mother called out from the front door, he looked up to his 12  year old sister Hayley, the same expression was on her face as she played with her hair, he quickly grabbed his legions of lasers backpack which his mother had packed for him, containing clothes, his Nintendo DS, his toothbrush and some money for a snack and drink after his contemporary class the next day which his dad was meant to be taking him to. She also gave him his phone, it was in no way a fancy phone, it was his mother's old blackberry and he only had this for emergencies and he only had 4 contacts and they were, his mother, his stepdad, his older sister, and his older 15 year old stepbrother Blake who was David's biological son, but both him and David were like the missing puzzle piece to the family and Finn loved having them around, he wanted to stay with them and play video games with Blake and practice for his dance competition.
