First Date

Amy had forgiven them both, Piper had asked Finn to come to the movies, that was a week ago and this evening was the screening of Hotel Dystopia, the night of the date was upon them. It was daunting, Piper had only been on two dates in the past, Finn had been on a few but he hadn't ever been on a first date with a girl he was actually in love with , Amy was in all honesty a way out on his feelings for Piper when he thought he should get over her until he heard her laugh and he knew he couldn't get over her.

Piper was currently on a emergency FaceTime call to the zero percent club. "GUYS I NEED HELP TO MAKE ME GO DOWN TO ZERO PERCENT!" She cried at her group of friends, "Hello to you too Piper..." Cassie chuckled, "...Anyway what's this all about?"  Sloane added to Cassie's previous comment, This is when Amy swooped in, "Piper has a dateeee with Finnnnn" she exclaimed, elongating her words in pure excitement. "Oh my god! LATROY YOU OWE ME 5 BUCKS!" Sloane cried to her boyfriend off camera, "Why!?" Was the muffled response, "Piper and Finn are going on a date!" "No Way! I'm proud of them!" LaTroy called back, "Wait have you guys been betting on my love status?...Anyways I need help, how does one act and behave slash wear on a date?" She changed the subject aside from their betting, "Just be you! You guys spend so much time together anyway just be yourself, but wear your hair down, he will like that" Amy smirked, "Oi how did you know he complimented me on that?" Piper asked curiously, "Pipes he legit asked me one time 'does Piper wear her hair down often cos it suits her' and he was infatuated with you"  Piper smiled at that comment. "Right so what you need to wear is..."

Over at Finn's house, his date with Piper was the talk of the house. Finn had actually got a date with the girl he had been crushing on for so long. Finn was currently, like Piper deciding what to wear, he lay out two options, one was a dark blue tee with his denim jacket, black jeans and his vans, the other was a white tee with a navy blue bomber jacket and the same black jeans and vans. He rolled back on his gaming chair and looked at both options laid out on his bed. A quiet knock at the door interrupted his decision, "Finnyyy" a muffled voice came from behind the door, "Star? Is that you?" He asked, Star was his 4 year old half sister, she was born when Finn was 12 soon after his mother married his stepdad. She pushed the door open slowly, one hand was in her mouth, the other securely wrapped around her rainbow leopard build a bear which was wearing a mini pink baby ballet TNS jacket to match hers which their mother had made for her when she was nervous about going to the studio for the first time. It didn't take long for Finn to notice her tear stained cheeks, her plaits had gone frizzy and her bows were loose in her hair, she had been crying. Finn stood up and scooped his baby sister into his arms before sitting back down on his chair with his baby sister on his lap, "Right...Star Eliza Matthews, Whats with the tears?" He asked her, she rubbed her eyes with her hand, "It's just...Mummy and Daddy and Hayley and you AND Granny and Grandpa are all talking about you making Piper your girlfriend..." she started in a whisper, "Go on" he prompted her, "...and I thought that if Pippy became your girlfriend, you would spend more time with her than you already do..." she went on using her nickname for Piper, "...and if you are spending more time with her, you might not have enough time to go get ice creams with me" she admitted sadly, looking down to her feet. Finn smiled, him and Star were very close, he would often take her on days out to buy ice creams or to the fun fair or the park. "Is that why you have been crying? Cos I promise that no matter what we will still go and get ice cream", she held up her pinky, "Pinky swear?" He attached his pinky around hers, "I pinky swear" he smiled before swivelling the chair round, "now which one do I put on to impress Piper?" He asked her one final question, she thought to herself for a moment before pointing to the navy blue bomber. Good choice.

He pulled up in his car outside her house exactly at 6:30 which was 40mins before the film started, they had agreed to have him beep the horn when he arrives, avoid the wrath of James. Beeping the horn he waited a moment before the door opened revealing Piper, Finn looked at her in awe, she was wearing her black jeans and a red body suit and her denim jacket over the top, her hair was loose and cascading down her back, blowing in the light breeze, reaching the car and calmly getting in, "Hey Finn! Your early!" She exclaimed in surprise, "Yeah I wanted to be because I didn't want us to miss the trailers like always" he smiled warmly, she smiled at him, he was so wholesome sometimes.

They reached the cinema and Finn bought the popcorn and drinks before Piper even had a chance to pull out her purse to pay. It wasn't long before they were watching the film, towards the middle of the film Piper pushed down the divider between their seats and lay her head on Finn's Chest, it made him nervous initially, he had never been this close to Piper before, he liked it, he rested his head atop hers gently, wrapping his arm around her petit body, the young couple watched the remainder of the film cuddled up to one another, only moving twice to allow someone to exit to the toilet as well as returning, they comfortably returned to the same position.

As the movie drew to a close and they watched all the post credit scenes. They walked out of the screening as if nothing happened, neither can remember when it happened or who made the move but by the time they reached outside of the cinema, their hands were intertwined together, walking through the cold city breeze, the loud hustle and bustle into their favourite restaurant, sitting down into their usual booth and ordering their usual meals.

This time was different to all their usual friend dates, it had a different vibe. They were just waiting for their food having casual conversation, "I'm sorry" he suddenly said, taking her hands in his across the table, she gently gripped his hands "What are you apologising for?" "...For going out with Amy, making you keep our kiss a secret, I probably didn't help your anxiety whatsoever and I'm so sorry that I-" "Finn! It's fine ok! Yes I was anxious but if it wasn't for you going out with Amy and your silly say yes challenge, I would of never realised that I'd been running from feelings for so long" she cut off his apology with a soft smile, caressing his hand with her thumb, he looked into her eyes, "You mean that?" He asked nervously, she nodded and leaned over the table and pecked him on the lips, they had already admitted their feelings, PDA was easy.

After their meal Piper ran through the streets of the city, Finn not too far behind her, they were just laughing and she started a game of tag, typical Piper. She reached the park, and looked behind her and Finn wasn't there, she hoped she hadn't lost him, "Finn?! Are you there?" She called out into the dark behind her, "No! But I'm behind you!" He cried wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and spinning her around, making her squeal and laugh. Once her feet met the floor again, she felt enough confidence to turn around and kiss him properly, as she did she moved her arms up around his neck, he relaxed his hands onto her waist, it was a long kiss that's for sure, and one they couldn't feel guilty for, it was amazing.

Pulling up to Piper's house, it was 11:30pm at this point, past her curfew. She didn't tell Finn that, she wanted to enjoy herself with him, be carefree, after all, he had taught her that. "Thanks for a great night" she smiled at him, "thanks for making my night great" he smiled in return, "Pipes? Can I ask you something before you go?" He asked nervously taking her by the hand, "Yea, of course, what's up?" She asked, moving her other hand from the door, "Are we like a thing now, because I really really really like you, and if you don't want to be then I'm not going to force you to if-"  Piper cut him off by kissing him, pulling back quickly, they were always cutting each other off with kisses these days. "Does that answer your question?" She asked him, nervous of her previous actions, he nodded, and cupped her face, pulling her back in again, this time the kiss was long, lasting what felt like forever, pulling back for Air, Piper had a blush to her cheeks as she giggled, "I should probably go" , "I'll see you tomorrow then at dance, wait do you want a lift? I have to bring Star with me though?" "Yea that would be great...See you then Finn, Bye" she spoke getting out of the vehicle, she was in love, it was obvious.

Reaching her doorstep, she waved him off, watching his car leave her road. Opening the door quietly, the lights were all off, everyone must of gone to bed. Tiptoeing through to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, she jumped when the lights suddenly flicked on, turning round to see her siblings sat at the dining room table... "Good Date?" Oh god here they go.
