Him?!

It was the first day of Nationals rehearsals, A Troupe were gathered in studio A, well all except Piper and Finn. Who weren't here yet, Nick was getting frustrated so just decided to make his announcement, "right Piper and Finn will get here in time so...my announcement, as you know there are 11 of you, and for a full nationals team we need 12, and B Troupe hate us so I found a dancer online, he is a former dancer here and some of you may know him" Nick spoke excitedly, "Nick who is it?" Richelle questioned sharply. Nick responded with a smile, took a few steps back and began to answer, "Please welcome back to the Next Step and Welcome to A-Troupe...Josh!" A small round of applause occurred as the teen entered smiling, however he was clearly looking around for Piper. Amy noticed this and shot a scowl at him. He was reuniting with Henry, Ozzy and Kingston from their brief time together preparing for the qualifier video.

A silence fell on the team, they were all just sort of staring at eachother somewhat comfortably. The silence quickly came to a halt when loud fits of laughter echoed from the hall, soon enough Piper and Finn emerged from it, Piper was on Finn's back, and Finn was flying around the room. "Alright Lovebirds, pack it in, I'm trying to introduce a new team member here" Nick drew them to a stop, Josh was confused, Piper had a boyfriend now? He still had a hope that she liked him still but, that's just gonna make his job a lot harder. "Sorry Nick" she smiled out of breath before noticing and locking eyes with the new team member, and her bud of happiness was deteriorated as her anxiety took over.  She broke the eye contact, "...Umm I..gotta go...the toilet" she hopelessly excused herself before she rushed out as fast as she could, Finn quickly followed behind, knowing the signs of her anxiety.

The brunette only reached the corridor before she felt her legs go from underneath her, she fell to the floor clutching her chest and gasping for breath, tears pouring down her face at a rapid pace. She heard a familiar voice, "Pipes, Pipes baby can you hear me?" It was Finn. "...Finn...help me...please"  were the only words that she could muster. "I'm gonna help you ok baby" he soothed. He wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up from the ground and sat her upright against the wall, he sat in front of her, he took her hands in his and began to rub circles along them with his thumb , "Pipes you are gonna have to breathe with me ok?" She nodded fast and desperately, "ok...in...and out" he repeated while breathing in and out deeply. Eventually Pipers breathing regulated but she was still crying, "I'm sorry!" She cried out embarrassed, "hey, hey shhh" he soothed gently pulling her into his chest, her sobs were muffled but clear. He kissed her head and ran his hands up and down her back, "shhh baby I've got you" he whispered, Amy and Nick emerged from the door leading to Studio A, "Piper! What happened?" Nick exclaimed in concern as he kneeled down next to the pair, Piper still encased in Finn's embrace. "I don't know, she saw whatever his name is and panicked" Finn spoke for his girlfriend who was clearly in no fit state to talk. All eyes fell on Amy, who was fidgeting with her own hands nervously. "Amy? Any ideas?" Nick asked which snapped her out of her trance. "Josh was on the team about 2 years ago, him and Piper became great friends, like you were once Finn, but he lead Piper on and when she confessed, he rejected her and just left her to rot, I'm guessing his return just brought back all the anxiety" she stated. Piper nodded in Finn's arms, "I don't want him near me" her voice was muffled into Finn's chest. Finn had heard about Josh before so he wasn't worried about Piper being unfaithful or anything of the sort. Nick let out a deep sigh, "I'll do my best Pipes, anyway he's 100% an alternate at the moment because I don't know him well enough yet" Nick reassured before coming to his feet, "come in whenever you are ready, you have your duet practice" he smirked before walking away, they both looked up, "we have the duet?!" Piper exclaimed rubbing her red eyes. "Of course...but you won't if don't get up and start rehearsing" Nick chuckled in a reply. Finn stood up and helped Piper up, Amy and Finn stood either side of her, her two best friends, one of which happened to be her boyfriend.

As the pair rehearsed at the front of the room, Josh watched from behind, Piper looked beautiful as Finn lifted her. Her curves, her hair, just her everything. He had to talk to her, he was a fool to turn her down the first time, and he wasn't going to lose her to some other dancer. As the rehearsal ended, Piper and Finn began conversation across the room, "Pipes! You ready for Hotel Dystopia?!" He called out across the room, "Yeah I just gotta get my bag! It's in my locker" she responded blowing a kiss and walking out. This was Josh's chance, he began to follow her, but Amy noticed this and her and Henry were close behind.

Piper was packing away her stuff into her bag in her locker. "Hey Piper" the voice behind her startled her, she turned around to see...Josh. "...oh um hey Josh, what's up"  she answered nervously. "I'm just gonna cut to the chase, I'm in love with you! I always have been and you and me we just...belong together!" He confessed openly. Piper was taken aback, like sure she was flattered but she didn't feel the same way, not anymore. "I'm sorry Josh...I don't feel the same, you left, I moved on and now I'm dating Finn and he's the best person, I'm sorry" she rushed out and turned round back to her stuff. Josh wasn't taking no for an answer. He came up behind her and gripped his hands on her waist, he began kissing at her neck, "Josh what are you doing get off me!!" She cried, "come on you know I'm the better guy" "GET OFF ME!!" She screamed at him, as if on cue Amy and Henry entered. "Oi!" Henry yelled out while pulling Josh off Piper. Josh looked around and immediately bolted out the locker room, Henry was straight after him. Piper slid down her locker in tears and began breaking down, Amy came down next to her friend and brought her into a hug. "Amy! He tried to-" "shh I know Pipes, it's ok" she soothed her best friend, Finn was gonna freak.

Meanwhile, Henry was following Josh into studio A, "Bro leave me alone!" "Nah! You went over the line!" at this point the remainder of A Troupe were on guard, "Finn, he just tried to make out with Piper, she's terrified" Henry told his best friend. Within seconds Josh was punched to the ground, a fight broke out. Finn was clearly winning and furious. Finn pressed him up against the wall "Don't you ever! Ever! Look, breathe or talk to her again! You hear me!" He released the boy from his grip before going to find Piper.

He found Piper in the locker room, she was broken. She came running at him, "Finn! Finn! I swear I didn't do anything! He came at me and-" Finn cut her off by kissing her lips. She pulled back, "your not mad?" "Never.." and their lips connected once more...
