TWENTY-FOUR- Slytherin Talk and Pranks

March 2nd, 1996

FRED

"Fred come on, we need to get to breakfast!", Aquila wined as she grabbed my hand and pulled me out of George and I's dorm. George was pushing me out the door since I was pretending to be asleep just to make Aquila and George angry. I placed one hand on both sides of the door to keep me there. 

"Jesus, you have such a grip!", I heard Aquila's exclaim. A smirk spread on my face as my thoughts went somewhere else with that comment. 

"That's what she said.", My brother George said. I let out a big laugh, thinking about how I was going to say that exact same thing. To Aquila and George's relief, I let go of the door and opened my eyes as I laughed at how angry Aquila looked. She had a frown that made it obvious that she found what I was doing amusing. I went over to Aquila and hugged her from behind, as her head lay on my chest. I kissed the top of her head and I felt her smile. 

"Can you both stop that? You're making me feel single.", George complained. Aquila and I laughed and separated from each other. Aquila looked at him sympathetically and put her hand on his shoulder. 

"That's cause you are Georgie.", and then let out a chuckle. George playfully rolled his eyes and shook Aquila's hand off his shoulder as he let out a small laugh. Today was the weekend, which meant we had the next two days off. George, Aquila, and I had planned to go have some fun around the castle. By that, we meant that we were going to prank some professors and students. First on our list of people to prank was Professor Umbridge. She has done everything to deserve a prank from us, and we decided that we aren't gonna go nice on her.

Aquila and I have been doing really well since I asked her if we could be a couple back in February. We've been going on some dates and hanging out in the Astronomy tower more than ever. We haven't had any arguments and I'm quite happy about that. I'm not one to like arguing. She has such a good relationship with my siblings as well. I've seen her and Ginny talking about only God knows what. But Ginny always has such a bright smile on her face every time they talk. Aquila and Ron also seem to get along, not as much as with Ginny though. Which is strange since they are in the same year. 

"Come on, darling.", I called for Aquila and reached out for her hand. She grabbed it and the three of us began to head to breakfast. As we left the Gryffindor common room, a blonde girl from Gryffindor stopped us. 

AQUILA

"What is Phoenix doing here?", I heard a familiar voice speak hatefully. I turned around, only to see that blonde girl who's always had a grudge against me, Rebecca Samuels. She walked over to me menacingly and looked me up and down with disgust in her eyes. She looked over at Fred and George who were standing beside me. Then she looked down to Fred and I's hands, which were still locked. She chuckled and looked at Fred flirtatiously. Rebecca began to walk over to Fred and placed a hand on his shoulder, making Fred furrow his eyebrows at her. 

"Oh Fred, it can't be that you've decided to go with the Slytherin Phoenix girl. We both know you have much better options right in front of you.", Rebecca stated seductively as she slid her finger up and down Fred's chest. I felt anger rise inside me as my fists tightened. My breathing began to increase. Right when I was about to open my mouth to say something, Fred shook her off him, making me smirk gladly. 

"Aquila isn't in the list of girls I choose from, she's worth more than picking from a list. You, on the other hand, are so pathetically desperate.", Fred spoke. My smirk grew bigger as I looked at George who was trying to hold in laughter. Where did this Fred come from? I walked towards Rebecca and glared at her threateningly.
