NARRATORWhen Harry and his friends saw Aquila with Draco, their minds went various places. Was Aquila with Draco? Is she cheating on Fred? Is that why she hasn't answered any letters? But they knew that that wasn't the case. Aquila has always been known for being loyal and she would never cheat on someone. They also knew that Draco's father was in Azkaban, and Draco would want revenge. As they walked back to Fred and George's shop, Harry began to think. Draco's father is a death eater, and he's in Azkaban, so therefore he can't do his death eater duties. So since his father can't do his job then perhaps...
"He's a Death Eater!", Harry thought out loud. "Malfoy, he's replacing his dad as a death eater.", Harry said slowly. The trio entered into a loud silence, and then Ron erupted into laughter.
"Malfoy? A death eater? Please, Harry, you've gone mad. Malfoy might be mean and all but he hasn't got the heart to be a death eater.", Ron debated. Harry rolled his eyes, but something in his mind told him the platinum-haired boy was up to something, and he was going to find out.
The trio arrived back at Fred and George's shop, opening the door to enter. Harry then stopped in his tracks and turned around to face his friends. "Should we tell Fred we saw Phoenix?", Harry asked Ron and Hermione who looked hesitant. There was a long pause of silence between them, but then Hermione spoke up.
"Yes. He deserves to know what Aquila's been up too.", Hermione states. Harry and Ron nodded and they all walked up to Fred who was organizing the store.
"Oí, look who's back. D'you lot find anything interesting out there?", Fred asked cheerfully as he put a box of extended ears on a shelf. Harry cleared his throat to speak, now getting Fred's attention. "Is something wrong?", Fred asked, sounding a bit concerned.
"We saw Aquila.", Ron announced. Fred's face turned into a bright smile, but then his smile disappears as his face stiffened. Ron took a deep breath and continued. "We saw her in walking with Draco Malfoy. She looks unwell.", Ron added. Fred gulped and lowered his gaze down to his shoes.
"Where was she?", Fred asked with a concerned voice. Harry, Hermione, and Ron looked at each other, contemplating whether they should tell poor Fred or not. Harry nodded at Ron and Hermione and Ron and Harry spoke.
"Knockturn Alley.", Harry said in a whisper. Fred clenched his jaw and his fists slowly turned into the shape of a punch. But soon, he loosened his fists but his jaw was still clenched.
"I'll be back. Tell George where I am if he asks for me.", Fred ordered. The trio nodded and observed as the tall red-headed boy walked out of his shop, determined to find the girl he hadn't heard from for months.
FRED
Aquila. Aquila. Aquila. Aquila. That was all my mind could think at the moment. I pushed through the crowded sidewalks and the little witches and wizards heading into my shop. I didn't want to harm them, but I couldn't lose Aquila. I ran towards Knockturn Alley, but Aquila was nowhere to be found. I looked around and there were only shops that I wouldn't dare to enter. Beginning to head back, I heard a whisper coming from one of the dark small alleys. There was a female whisper and a male whisper. One voice was aggressive and nervous, and one was light and comforting. The second voice was one that was all too familiar for me. My heart began to beat quickly almost feeling as if it were right in my throat prohibiting me from breath. I gulped and slowly began to head towards the dark alley.
As I approached the darkness, I could see the form of a dark black cloak and a boy sitting against the wall. I could hear sobbing coming from the boy. The cloaked human was nealed down and comforted him, and then I heard a voice. A voice that woke me up and brought me back to life and away from my anxious self. I walked up to them and spoke.
"Aquila?".
AQUILA
"I know. I know Draco. Breathe, just breath.", I whispered to Draco as he sobbed onto his knees as he sat against the wall. I caressed his platinum blonde hair and continued to whisper comforting things into his ear. But then, a voice broke my focus on my friend. A voice that I have grown to know over the past years and a voice that I have grown to love. I looked up from Draco, and my dark brown eyes met with the sorrowful eyes of the guy I've ignored over the past months. Fred.
FRED
My eyes met hers. We just stared into each other's eyes without saying anything. Then Aquila spoke.
"Fred.", she said my name with such sadness that made my heart crumble into pieces. Was she disappointed to see me? Her voice came with such grief that it sounded like it came from waves. Her eyes were no longer the deep earth color I remember, they are now light and seem to have no life. The eyes under her bags were deep and her skin was pale as snow. Her eyes were now forming into glass as she stood up from the ground, letting out a weak sigh. But then, a hand held her back, and the boy stood up. The small amount of light that occupied the alley now touched his face, revealing Draco Malfoy, who didn't look much different from Aquila. He also looked exhausted but his face held less sorrow.
"Aquila, you can't.", Draco spoke with a worry in his voice. Aquila looked at him and shook her head.
"Wait for me at the end of the alley, I'll meet you there.", Aquila muttered. Draco sighed and turned around, now walking away from Aquila and me. Silence filled the alley, which made it extremely loud. Aquila and I just glared at each other, trying to figure out what the other is thinking. But then, I decided I was going to speak.
"Did you read my letters?", I asked looking at her directly. Aquila's eyes began to water and she looked down. "Please just tell me if you want to end this. I mean, I send you letters during the summer and you don't respond to them. Months later, I find you here, in Knockturn Alley. Not to mention, with another boy who happens to be Draco Malfoy, your closest friend from the Slytherin house!", I whisper yelled. My eyes began to tear up as well but I held them in, not wanting to show how she hurt me. Although I think my words have shown her enough.
Aquila began to shake her head continuously, whispering to herself murmurs that only she could hear. I walked closer to her and she kept shaking her head. Her hand moved up to her face to catch a tear that was falling down her cheek. She let out a little sniff that made my heart drop. I approached her completely and quickly wrapped my arms around her. Aquila lost her balance and fell into my arms letting out a quiet sob that only I could hear. I held her so gently as if she would break easily. She was struggling to catch her breath as she tried to speak. But I told her to breathe and told her words that made her break even more.
"Everythings going to be okay.", I whispered into her ear as my back fell against the wall and soon had me sitting down, holding Aquila tightly but gently. Her tears fell on my clothes as she cried into my chest.
"I'm sorry.", she squeaked. "I'm so tired, I'm sorry.", she continued to cry.
