Moonlight- Fred Weasely x original character (Discontinued)

𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄- 𝐀 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥?!

October 16th, 1995

"Good morning students", Professor Dumbledore greeted as all students from 4th to 7th year sat in the Great Hall. Everyone said good morning back and it soon came to silence.

"I've gathered you all here today because I have an announcement that I think you will all enjoy very much.", he continued as a smile formed on his face. Everyone looked at each other with smiles of excitement.

"This year, the staff and I, decided that we will have an All Hallows' Eve ball on the 31st!", Professor Dumbledore announced. The Great Hall was full of cheering and clapping students. Most girls were whispering into each other's ears about how excited they were. Some boys groaned in disappointment. Aquila looked at her friend Victoria and they both had big smiles on their faces.

"Now, the ball will be a masquerade ball, so I suggest you all have a mask to wear during the event.", Professor McGonagall mentioned. There were gasps and cheering again filling the whole hall.

"Professor McGonagall will be hosting ball dancing lessons for you to get some practice. It is expected for all of you to attend.", Professor Dumbledore explained. There were tired groans from boys and a few smiles filling the room. Once all the announcements were given, everyone went to the ballroom to practice for the ball.

"As many of you may remember, last year we had the Yule Ball due to the Triwizard tournament. This class is just to refresh your ball dancing skills so you don't make a complete fool of yourselves." , Professor McGonagall started out by saying. The Yule Ball wasn't bad for Aquila. Actually, she rather enjoyed it. She danced with this boy who is now in 7th year. His name was Peter. He had been her senior crush, so it was a big deal for Aquila to go with him. Today, they are very good friends.

"Now, girls on one side of the room and boys on the other.", Professor McGonagall instructed. Everyone stayed in their spots without moving. There was an awkward silence waiting for the first person to move.

"Hurry!", the Professor instructed. Everyone sped toward their side of the room. Both genders stood quiet in their side of the room. Girls on the left, boys on the right. They all looked at Professor McGonagall waiting for her to give her next instruction. Professor McGonagall started to walk around the room back and forth, then a chuckle left her mouth.

"Weasley and Phoenix, up here please.", McGonagall said. All the Weasley boys looked at each other in confusion.

"Which Weasley?", Ron asked.

"The twin", she responded.

"Which twin?", Fred and George asked at the same time.

"Fred.", Professor McGonagall cleared up. Fred and Aquila looked at each other straight in the eye. Aquila's heart started to beat 10 times faster. She couldn't be seen dancing with a weasley. If her parents heard about her being close to a Weasley, she wouldn't see the light of day again. Fred in the other hand, his heart too was beating 10 times faster,but out of excitement. He was going to dance with THE Aquila Phoenix. He was happy about it because George could only dream of dancing with her. Aquila and Fred stayed staring at each other, filling the whole room with awkward tension.

"We don't have all day!", McGonagall hurried. Fred and Aquila rushed to the center of the room standing front to front.

"Now Weasley, put your hands on her waist.", Fred put his hands on Aquila's waist with slight hesitation not wanting to make her uncomfortable. Aquila flinched at the sudden touch but stayed still once she got used to it. Aquila was told to put her hands on Fred's shoulders.

Professor McGonagall turned on the music and told them to begin dancing. Fred pulled Aquila closer with strength. His body being closer to hers. The redhead began to lead the way beginning to sway the couple around the room, as the subtle sounds of the violin filled their ears. His hands gripped her waist, but still having a gentle touch. Aquila's mind started to get blank. The thoughts of her parent's thoughts disappeared. She was shocked. What was going on with her? Why was her stomach making twists and turns? Their eyes locked as they spun across the room holding each other. He was looking into the brunette girl's mysterious eyes, and she stared into his joyful ones. Fred spun Aquila around, and with that, the melody stopped.

"Beautiful!", they both heard Professor McGonagall express.

"Absolutely Beautiful! I want you all to follow their example now. Go on, chop-chop.", Professor McGonagall instructed. Everyone spread across the room and picked a partner to dance with. The music played again, causing Aquila to get out of her trance, and needing to get out of that room.

"I- um, I have to go.", Aquila said, as she took Fred's hands off her hips, and sped out of the ballroom in shock of what just happened. Fred observed the girl run towards the double-sided door,  while his mind said things to him that made him all jumpy inside.
