NARRATOR

It's been two weeks since the school first started and Aquila was starting to settle in again. She had gotten used to her schedule and having sleepless nights because of the workload. As she walked around the corridor she found her way to her Defense Against The Dark Arts classroom. Once she entered, there she saw the bright pink figure of her teacher, Professor Umbridge. She wore her usual pink attire and her brown hair was tied up. Aquila scrunched her face in disgust and sat down on her usual seat. Aquila was advanced for her age in Defense Against the Dark Arts, so she took it with the 7th years of Slytherins and Gryffindors.

"Good evening Ms. Phoenix", Dolores greeted with her annoying high-pitched voice. She thought about how she knew it was her when she didn't even look back. She shrugged it off and opened the black notebook that she carries around everywhere at any time of day.

"Property of Aquila Hydra Phoenix, is that a diary?", a voice said behind her. She turned her head and saw the same redhead from the first day of the 5th year. He sat down on the chair next to Aquila. The brunette girl looked down at her black leather notebook and hid it on her lap.

"It's not a diary, it's a journal", she responded bitterly. She rolled her eyes at him and looked away.

"Can I see what's in it?", Fred asked curiously while looking at the hidden journal on her lap.

"No, it's secret... things you have no business in knowing.", She responded looking back at him. A grin grew on Fred's face as he said,

"Then it is a diary?"

"It's not a diary!"

"Yes it is"

"It's a journal"

"No, it's a diary"

"Weasley, if you don't shut up about this being a diary I will hex the living daylight out of you! Understand?", Aquila ended the conversation and Fred looked at her and nodded his head.

"Of course", he responded letting out a small chuckle. They both looked away from each other waiting for the class to begin. Aquila looked back at Fred and looked at how he played with his quill and just drew small doodles on the desk.

"Good, everyone's here. Good evening everyone. Open your textbooks to page 456 ...", Professor Umbridge began the class. Everyone groaned and opened their textbooks to page 456. As Umbridge gave a lecture, Fred looked at Aquila admiring her features. How she looked so concentrated on her note-taking and how she moved a strand of her hair behind her ears because it always got in her face. He smiled to himself until he got distracted by something.

Mr. Weasley, does Ms. Phoenix have a fly on her hair, you seem to be looking at her an awful lot.", Professor Umbridge called out to Fred. Fred flushed red in embarrassment, his skin almost matched his hair. Fred shook his head signaling that there wasn't something in Aquila and looked down to his lap wishing that that had never happened. Aquila smiled to herself and continued to listen to the lecture.

"Oí Phoenix!", Fred exclaimed as Aquila left the Defense Against The Dark Arts classroom. She turned around and saw the tall redhead boy running towards her. He arrived at her panting and almost unable to breathe.

"Can I help you?", Aquila asked raising an eyebrow at the boy. He composed himself and handed her something that was in his hand.

"Oh, I don't need your help. More like you need mine", Fred said as he showed Aquila's black notebook. Her eyes became wide open and she snatched the book out of his hands. She felt like an idiot. How could she forget that notebook, if it ever fell in the wrong hands... all hell would break loose for her.

"Did you open it?" She asked eager to know the answer. She prayed to Merlin that he didn't read her journal.

"Oh, I would never, you stated it yourself how secret it was," Fred responded. He looked at her with a smirk on his face. She observed how he rearranged his hair by running his hands through it. She felt a tingly sensation in her stomach. She wondered what it was, but she shook it off.

"Good." She said as she turned around and walked away from the redhead boy. Fred wondered, what's in that diary that she needs to hide so much? Is it just some writing about a boy? He had no idea, but he wanted to find out.
