Walking towards Professor Umbridge's office for detention, Aquila thought about how idiotic Umbridge is. She hated everything about her. She hated her voice, how she dressed, her presence, her rules, everything. Aquila walked through the corridor until she reached the double-sided brown large door that gave access to Umbridge's office. She heard voices behind the door, so Aquila decided to knock. Slowly, the door opened by itself. Only to see the one and only redhead Fred Weasley sitting across Professor Umbridge.
"Aquila, how nice for you to join us. Please sit next to Mr. Weasley.", Professor Umbridge greeted as she pointed to the pink chair placed next to Fred. Aquila slowly walked towards the pink chair and looked at the walls around her, only to see the same pink walls filled with cats. Aquila sighed. She then looked to her right and made eye contact with Fred. She furrowed her eyebrows, signaling that she wanted to know what he was doing here. Fred just shook his head and mouthed detention. Aquila nodded and looked at Professor Umbridge who sat quietly waiting for them to finish.
"Now, as you both may know, you are here for detention. What you will be doing some line for me, Ms. Phoenix and Mr. Weasley." Fred and Aquila nodded and reached out for their quills in their bags.
"No, not with your quills. You will both use a rather special one of mine". Professor Umbridge said. She stood up and took two brown feathered quills out of her cabinet and placed it in front of the pair, on top of a clear white page.
"Now, Ms. Phoenix, you will write 'I must not argue with my teachers'. As for you Mr. Weasley, you will write, 'I must not eavesdrop'." The pair both looked at the Professor and both asked at the same time,
"How many times?"
"Let's say, as much as it takes for it to... sink in", The professor responded with a small devilish smile.
"You haven't given us any ink professor.", Aquila said frustrated with the situation.
"You won't be needing any", professor Umbridge said as she turned around facing her pink cat-filled wall. Fred and Aquila looked at each other, and then looked down to start writing their lines. Aquila began writing her lines. She did not understand why Umbridge was making her do this. She did nothing wrong, she was simply just stating her opinion. Either way, it was just writing lines... at least that's what she thought. As she was in her third line, she began to feel a sting on her left hand. It felt like something sharp was carving into her arm. She turned to look at her hand, and slowly, the words that were being written on paper started to appear on her hand. Aquila quietly grunted in pain, closing her eyes harshly to try to handle the pain. All of a sudden, she heard Fred grunt as well. She turned around and saw the same thing happening to Fred. Fred looked at her, with miserable eyes. They looked tired. For the first time, she saw a frown on the red head's face. Then, they both heard footsteps heading towards them.
"Yes?", Professor Umbridge asked, with her eyes looking innocent, That disgusted Aquila. Yet, she still looked into Dolores's despicable brown eyes and stayed quiet.
"Nothing", Fred and Aquila answered. Both of them were shaking out of fear. Aquila's skin felt cold, and so did Fred's.
"That's right because deep down, you both know you deserve to be punished. Isn't that right children?", she asked. Aquila looked at Fred and then back at Umbridge. An angry frown spread on Aquila's face. She hated how she had such a warm appearance, but on the inside, she was as demonic as hell can be. Once they were both dismissed from detention, they both walked out of Umbridge's office. Fred started heading towards the Gryffindor common room until a cold soft hand stopped him.
"What were you eavesdropping at Weasley?", Aquila asked while her cold hand-held Fred's warm one. Fred looked down at Aquila's hand and looked back up to Aquila's eyes. Fred felt a warm feeling in his stomach, and he couldn't help but smile."
"Why so interested in that Phoenix?", Fred asked back with a mischievous grin. Aquila noticed that she was holding Fred's hand and let go immediately. A small blush spread across her cheeks. Aquila looked down trying to hide it.
"I noticed you and your brother following me yesterday, I'm not an idiot.", she spat. Fred's eyes widened in shock. His heart was beating fastly and he started to get anxious. What can he say? Hell, he doesn't even know why he followed her.
"You were being suspicious, so I wanted to know what you were up to.", Fred improvises. He mentally slapped himself. Now it seems like he cares about what she does.
"Okay... and why was your brother not in detention? did he get away?", Aquila asked. Fred nodded. Aquila chuckled and decided to look up to Fred's eyes. She slowly walked up to Fred. As she walked closer, Fred's breathing hitched. His heart was beating faster than usual. Aquila got on her toes to whisper into Fred's ear and grabbed his shoulder so she wouldn't fall. Fred froze at the feeling of her touch.
"Don't ever follow me around again, what I do is not your business. Goodnight Weasley." Aquila let go of Fred, stood normally again, gave Fred a small smile, and walked away to the dungeons. Her brown curly hair swung side to side. Her figure became smaller and smaller as she walked away from the redhead. Fred felt butterfly's in his stomach. He looked at her until her figure got so small, that she wasn't visible to the eye. The boy turned around and headed to his dorm room as well.
