NARRATOR
It was new years eve. Not many people were at Hogwarts yet since most arrived the day before classes began during the first week of January. Aquila was walking down the corridors observing how the snow fell. It fell so gently on the ground, and it piled up into small little mountains. She watched how the young first-years who stayed at Hogwarts, played in the snow. Their smiles were bright as the sun as they laughed so joyfully. They were throwing snowballs at each other, as other kids were making snow angels. Aquila smiled at the sight. She enjoyed seeing them happy but then felt that she was missing that feeling of happiness. All those times of feeling so free with no worry are soon coming to an end. Aquila shook the feeling off and continued to walk through the school grounds. As she continued to look around, her cheeks turned pink at the sight of a red-head boy and his twin brother playing with a first -year. Her heart began to beat at a rhythm that only happened when she was near him. It was melodic and full of warmth. Aquila still hadn't told him how she feels, but she knows he has an idea of what, and she knows that he feels the same way. It is a quarter till 10:00 pm, and Aquila sits in the Slytherin common room writing her shadows in the book she always kept so secret. Her hand moved like music as the black ink formed hidden messages on the paper. As she wrote, her mouth slowly curved into a sweet smile and a small chuckle left her mouth. During her writing, she heard the wings of a bird flap inside the castle. Aquila turned around and there stood her owl with a letter. She furrowed her eyebrows since she wasn't expecting a letter.
"Thanks.", she thanked as she grabbed the letter from the screech owl's beak. She examined the white envelope as she thought about who it could be from. With suspense, she opened the envelope and began to read;
