November  12th, 1995

This isn't going to be like the usual things I write... this is more like letting my feelings out directly. I just can't stop thinking of when I looked into his brown eyes, and I knew it wasn't right. I knew I shouldn't do it, but I did. The worst part is that I didn't hate it. I didn't hate kissing him. I didn't hate kissing a Gryffindor. The way his warm lips touched mine made me feel cared for. Although he can't care for me, he hardly even knows me. Now, I'm being a coward and avoiding him, cause my stupid self can't help but avoid my troubles. When I danced with him, I loved how he held me... I can't deny that. How his hands held my waist gently but with a firm grip. The respect and chivalry he showed towards me. A gentleman he was. I just wish I was braver. If I were braver, my life would be different. I wonder if he's thinking of the kiss as well? Is he thinking of me? The thoughts about him grow as time passes and it's driving me insane. Why is this happening to me? What's going on? I'm not falling for him, am I? I hardly even know him.

Aquila read what she wrote on the 12th of November about the red-head boy she kissed. She was debating on whether she should confront him. She would become even more insane if she didn't. Her plan was to confront him in Defense Against The Dark Arts today. She's been avoiding him in that class for the past 2 weeks or more. She took a deep breath, closed her journal, put it in her bag,  and left her dorm to go to the Defense Against The Dark Arts classroom. When she arrived at the big classroom with the big windows, there she saw Fred sitting at the desk she used to sit in before the kiss. She took another deep breath and walked towards the tall redhead. She pulled a chair and sat next to him without saying a word. Fred turned at the sudden noise next to him and saw the brown-haired girl sitting next to him staring into the classroom. Aquila sat on the chair looking straight towards the front of the classroom awkwardly trying to not make eye contact with Fred. Fred chuckled and decided to break the silence.

"Are you going to talk or are you just gonna stare at the front of the classroom?", Fred asked in a teasing manner. Aquila looked at Fred and let out a nervous laugh. Fred noticed this and smiled. They looked into each other's eyes again. This time it was trying to figure out what each other was thinking. The eye contact was broken when they heard the door being shut.

"Open your textbooks to page 732, and read what's on it individually. ", Professor Umbridge explained with her obnoxiously high-pitched voice as she walked into the classroom. The sound of her pink heels clicking echoed. Aquila rolled her eyes at the sound of her teacher in pink's voice. Fred noticed and laughed.

"Is something funny Mr. Weasely?", Professor Umbridge asked irritated.

"No mam, sorry.", he responded looking down with an embarrassed blush. Professor Umbridge huffed and sat at her desk. Fred ripped a piece of paper from his notebook and wrote a note. Once he wrote it, he passed it to Aquila. Aquila furrows her eyebrows at reading the note.

I think we should talk about what happened ;) - Fred

Fred winked at her when she looked up at him.

Why did you draw a wink? - Aquila

It was just to hint what I was talking about- Fred

There was no need for that. But yes we should discuss the matter. It's why I sat next to you today. Why did you do it? - Aquila

You're smart, I think you can figure it out- Fred

Aquila knew why Fred did it once he passed that note. Fred liked her. She blushed at the thought. Which Fred noticed and whispered into Aquila's ear.

"Are you blushing Phoenix?", he teased. Aquila hid her face in her notebook pretending to be studying. Fred chuckled at this and said,

"Do you have an interest in me to Phoenix?", he asked into Aquila's ear, giving her chills across her body. Truth is, Aquila didn't know if she had an interest in him. She never thought of him every day until that kiss happened. She never wrote about him until that kiss happened.  She couldn't let him know she was unsure, that would let him know she's been thinking of him. She couldn't let that happen. She couldn't let herself like someone in that way too. She can't get hurt.

"No.", Aquila said with a straight face in a whispering voice so Professor Umbridge wouldn't hear her. Fred was taken back from her words, but he wouldn't give up.

"Are you sure? Your pink blush says different.", Fred teased. Aquila bit her cheek trying not to blush even more.

"I'm positive.", she said with certainty in her voice. She shifted her gaze up to his eyes to make it seem believable, but she couldn't maintain eye contact so she looked down immediately. Fred noticed her expression and came up with an idea.

"We'll see about that.", he whispered into her ear and began to read from his textbook, leaving Aquila confused. What did he mean?
