THIRTY-FIVE - Search For The Truth

FRED

"Your insane, man!" George exclaimed as he watched me pace around his room. "There's no way Aquila is a death eater."

"Then what explains that her parents prohibited her to see me because of our muggle accepting nature? What explains what I read in her journal about the mark and the lord?" I questioned as I sat down on my brother's bed aggressively and buried my face in my hands. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't accept it. She's only 16, turning 17 in a few weeks. There's no way her parents would put her through that, right?

George sat next to me and took a deep breath. "We have to find out if your theory is correct," he said as he shook his head. "But she can't know that we're onto her. Especially if she finds out that you think she's a death eater, which is utterly ridiculous."

I nodded and laid down on the bed.

NEXT DAY...

AQUILA

"Alright children," Professor Snape spoke as he stepped into our common room. "We are now heading to the great hall for the seminar with the Weasley twins. I want you all to behave your absolute best. Any bad behavior and you will be facing a week's detention. Am I clear?"

We all nodded and followed him towards the door and out. My mind was not letting my inner voice alone. It was all I could hear and I just wanted it to shut up. I was not ready to face Fred again, I truly wasn't. The first years were in front of the crowd and the oldest stood behind them. My friends and I were right in front of the seventh year. My heart began to beat at the unorganized pattern of the sound of everyone's footsteps combined as we walked down the corridors, walking to the great hall. I took deep breaths and looked down, trying to avoid any sudden eye contact with the twins.

The doors of the great hall opened as we reached it.

"Ah their here!" I heard a voice say.

Fred.

"What group do we have today?", I heard another voice ask. It must've been George, I couldn't really see since I was far in the back.

"Oh it's dear old Professor Snape!", Fred exclaimed. "It must be the Slytherins!"

Professor Snape stopped his walking and crossed his arms. I could hear Fred's gulp as they made intense eye contact.

"Do not call me dear or old, and even less, both of those words together." Professor Snape said menacingly. The Slytherins and I began to chuckle lightly as we heard Fred respond "Yes Sir."  George hit Fred lightly in the back, receiving a light shove from Fred.

As all the Slytherins and I entered, I sat in the far back of our table so they wouldn't see me. Draco followed and sat next to me as well. He then scooted closer to me and whispered something in my ear.

"We should use this time to work on our task. Professor Snape wouldn't mind.", Draco whispered. I looked down and debated leaving or not. "I know that the Weasley is here, but if we don't finish it soon, he'll be in danger.", Draco tried to convince. I nodded and whispered back to him.

"Alright. But let's wait till they start to Fred and George don't notice us leaving," I said. Draco nodded and looked towards the twins.

FRED

As George presented our products, all I could focus on was the fact that Aquila could be a death eater. George is right, you need to be really crazy to think Aquila is a death eater, but what if I'm not wrong?

My head turned towards where Aquila was sitting, and there she was, whispering into Malfoy's ear. Draco then whispered into her ear, receiving a nod back from Aquila.

George and I began to share our creations with the Slytherins, but then I was suddenly distracted by the sound of a door closing. I looked towards the door of the main hall and saw it close. My eyes began to wander around the main wall until my eyes stopped at the Slytherin table. I noticed two spots were empty. My eyes began to search for Aquila, but she wasn't there, and neither was that Malfoy boy. I walked over to George and told him I was going to the bathroom. He nodded and then I walked out of the Main Hall, in search for Aquila.
