The Past Comes Back

Deku, you better be alright! Maire thought to herself, running at full speed towards the interrogation room. No words could describe the worry and dread she felt in that moment as nothing but horrible scenarios ran through her head. She couldn't lose him again, not after the first time. When he jumped from the roof that day, she wanted to save him so badly, but she couldn't. She had failed to save the love of her life, and in his final moments, she was helpless. She lived with a guilt and pain that could only be described as depression. Maire's family tried so hard to stop her from harming herself, but it was no easy task. She was scared of her own demons and their amplified rage and aggression towards herself and others. Maire's mental and emotional state spiraled downward from there, her emotions beyond control. She felt so much pain, but so numb at the same time, her emotions drowning themselves out in the midst of the growing hole in her heart where Izuku once resided. Her parents sent her to countless therapists, all of them cowering in fear when Maire let out her worst demons in the form of her testimony. Her family was terrified of her, and this further deepened her guilt and pain. Her quirk, titled Sonar, sends out a silent wave of sonar to sense the presence of people and obstacles. This energy is unable to be felt by anyone it hits or disturb anything it touches. However, there is an exception. If you get hit by the energy and feel it, it's just a ticklish sensation, traveling from your head downwards. This wave of energy is harmless under normal circumstances, marking the placement and location of any individual it hits. However, after Izuku died, Maire's emotions were out of control, making her a dangerous person to be within 2 feet of. Her normally harmless and soundless waves of sonar became dangerous, knocking over anyone or anything it hit and creating a sonic boom that could destroy anything in her way. If it was strong enough, it could kill people. Maire's quirk became her worst fear as she watched those she loved get injured by a force that she could not control. People despised her power and her existence, and they made that known in many ways. These went from ignoring her existence to telling her to end everything here...to end herself. "You are the reason Midoriya killed himself, you worthless monster!" "You should just kill yourself!" "Go die, you don't deserve to live after what you did!" "I don't know why Midoriya would love such a heartless murderer. If I were him, I would've hated you." Their hateful and heartless words destroyed Maire beyond repair, only deepening her anxiety and depression. Then one day, she decided that she had had enough. She was gonna do it, what they said she deserved. Maire was gonna join Deku, and no one could stop her.
