Unmasked

"My name is Izuku Midoriya." the villain said, his voice confident and truthful. "D-did he just...?" Maire's voice came in through the earpiece. "Yeah... yeah I think he did." Bakugou said, backing away from the villain. "Midoriya?!" Odori mumbled. "Oh so now you guys recognize me?" He scowled. "How rude!" Odori stood up, no matter how much pain she was in. Hell, her childhood friend just showed up, alive! "B-But how?" she asked. Right at that moment, the ambulance arrived, Maire pulling in right behind. Bakugou saw Maire get out of the car to help Odori get to the ambulance, and immediately leapt into action. He gently grabbed one of Odori's arms, placing it around his shoulder. "I got it from here, go get the villain." Bakugou commanded, nodding towards the villain. "Are you sure?" Maire asked in a worried tone. Bakugou looked into her eyes, which were full of worry and shock. Bakugou grabbed Maire's shoulder, squeezing it gently. "I'm sure. Now go get him." Bakugou replied with a soft but confident smile. Maire smiled back, giving him a big hug and then ran to the villain. Maire un-clipped him from the fence, and firmly gripped his arms, pulling him up. When they got to the car, Maire pushed Midoriya into the back and went to shut the door when he stopped it with his leg, looking right into her eyes. She looked back, noticing that his expression had changed, the glow in his eyes was gone. His hard and tough exterior melted, revealing a much softer side to him. Midoriya looked sad and worried, but relieved, like he had wanted this for a long time. Maire wanted to cry into his embrace and never let go, but she couldn't. He was a villain after all, and heroes can't love villains. She looked away, shoving his leg into the car, shutting the door. Maire got in the driver's seat and started to drive back to the agency.
