Chapter 1:

Tay's P.O.V:

I fell to the ground with a sharp pain in my stomach. I looked up to see 3 boys standing over me.

" Worthless." Calum said kicking me.

I put my hands over my face. " Stop!"

" Why should I?" Calum asked.

He kicked me harder and I screamed out in pain.

" We did nothing!" Cassie screamed out.

" You did too!" Luke screamed.

I heard even more screaming.

" What did we do?" Piper asked.

I got lifted off the ground and I froze.

" What did we do to deserve this?" Piper asked.

" Everything." Calum said.

I felt the ground again and pain shot through me. I rolled over onto my back and screamed.

" Ashton? Luke? Calum?" I heard a voice call out.

" Michael's here! Quick! Hide them!" I heard Ashton whisper.

The ground wasn't below me and I started freaking out.

" This would be much easier if they were passed out." Calum said.

They hid us behind some bushes and ran away. After a while I felt hands on my shoulder.

" Calm down Tay. Its just Cassie and I." Piper said.

I sat up and looked at them. They were bruised all over their faces.

" Are you ok?" I asked as they helped me up.

I fell to the ground again. They helped me up again.

" We're fine. But are you ok?" Cassie asked supporting me.

We walked away from where they hid us and we all stopped in our tracks. They were standing around with Michael and their girlfriends. We tried getting by without them seeing us.

" OMG!" A girl asked coming towards us.

" Are you ok?" Another girl asked looking at us.

I stayed quiet and watched as the boys stood around and made small talk.

" We're fine." Cassie said.

" What happened?" The other girl asked.

I looked to see Calum looking at me and smirking. Luke and Ashton were focused on Cassie and Piper.

" We fell down a hill while we were walking." Cassie said quickly.

Calum, Luke, and Ashton sighed and Calum kept looking at me.

" Do you need a ride?" Michael asked.

" No. We're good." I said.

" No. Your not. Let me drive you." Michael said pulling his keys out of his pocket.

Michael turned to the group. " I'll be back as soon as possible."

" Take the time you need. I want those girls to he safe." The 2nd girl said.

We all got in and Michael drove away from the group. The vehicle was quiet.

" I know what really happened." Michael said.

I looked at him then looked at Piper and Cassie.

" We fell off a hill while hiking." Cassie said again.

" The boys beat you up." Michael said.

I looked out the window and watched the road go by. The vehicle got quiet again.

" Did they tell you?" Piper asked.

" They were describing what happened."

The vehicle got quiet again.

" Where do I need to drop you off?" Michael asked.

" Just drop us off at the park." I said.

" I want you to be safe. Where do I need to drop you off?" Michael asked again.

" The park." I said again.

" Im not kidding. Where do I need to drop you off?"

" We have no where." Piper said.

Michael kept driving.

" Where are we going?" Piper asked.

Michael turned into a parking lot and I read the sign.

" The hospital?" Cassie asked.

Michael got out and Cassie and Piper helped me out. We walked in and all eyes turned to us. We sat down and Michael walked up to the desk.

Michael took a little bit and sat down beside us.

" You should get back to the group." Cassie said.

" No. Im going to make sure your alright." Michael said.

" Why do you care all the sudden?" I asked.

They looked at me and everyone went quiet.

" You've never cared about us before. But now your here and away from the people you actually care about. Why?"

Everyone stayed quiet and I stood up. Piper went to grab my hand but I stepped out of her reach.

" What's her problem?" Michael whispered.

I turned around. " Your my problem. Calum's my problem."

I tried to walk away but I fell. I stood back up and pushed all their hands away. I walked down the hall.

" Where are you going?" Cassie asked.

" Somewhere." I said.
