Chapter 17:

Piper's P.O.V:

" Tay!" Cassie screamed hugging her.

I walked up to Tay and hugged her. " Don't ever do that again."

I hugged her tight and stepped away from her.

" Where's Calum?" Tay asked looking around.

" I'll text him." Ashton said.

Ashton pulled his phone out and started texting Calum.

" Why did you leave?" Cassie asked.

I turned my attention to Tay and Cassie.

" I don't know. I just needed to get away." Tay said shrugging.

" What made you come back?" I asked.

" This girl I ran into."

" Oh." Cassie said.

Ashton stood up. " Should we go get some food? I think we can sign Tay out."

We all agreed and headed to the desk to sign Tay out. Ashton got her signed out and we all headed to Ashton's car. We all climbed in and drove to the cafe.

We got inside and ordered our drinks.

" Has Calum said anything?" Tay asked.

Ashton looked at his phone. " Nothing."

We got our drinks and the waitress took our food order.

" Im glad your back Tay." Cassie said.

Tay leaned over the table and hugged Cassie. " In glad im back too."

The waitress came back with our food and we all started eating.

" Eating hospital food makes you realize how much you miss out on food in the real world." Tay said laughing.

" It's not that bad." I said shrugging.

Everyone looked at me.

" What?" I asked looking around at their faces.

" Are you crazy?" Cassie asked.

" Maybe." I said smiling.

Everyone started laughing and we continued eating.

" This is nice." Tay said.

We all looked at her.

" What?" Ashton asked.

" Having more than 2 friends. Being able to have food without worrying about being bullied."

" It is isn't it?" I asked sighing.

We finished eating and walked out. Luke and Cassie started walking hand in hand.

Ashton grabbed my hand and I looked up at him.

" What?" Ashton asked.

" Nothing." I said smiling.

We got in Ashton's car and he headed towards our house. Ashton pulled up to the curb and we all got out. Ashton looked at his phone and sighed.

" What?" I asked leaning against the car beside him.

" Calum hasn't responded."

" Oh."

" Luke!" Ashton yelled.

Luke and Cassie looked at us. They were sitting on the porch steps talking.

" Yeah?" Luke asked.

" Has Calum texted you?"

" No. Has he texted you?"

" No."

Luke stood up and Cassie stood up beside him.

" We better get going." Luke said walking up to us.

" Yeah." Ashton said putting his phone back into his pocket.

Luke and Cassie started kissing. Ashton started kissing me and I leaned against his car.

" Let's go dude." Luke said patting Ashton's back.

Ashton stopped kissing me and opened the car door.

" Bye." Ashton said.

" Bye." I said giving a small wave.

Ashton got in and started the engine.

" Bye." Luke yelled to Cassie.

" Bye." Cassie said waving to him.

They drove away and Cassie and I headed inside.

" Tay?" I called out closing the door behind me.

" Yeah?" She asked peeking around from the corner.

" Just checking up on you." I said sitting down on the couch.

I looked at my phone and saw i got a text from Ashton.

Ashton: Is Tay around you?

Me: No. Why?

Ashton: I don't want her to see your reaction and ask what's going on.

Me: Why?

Ashton: We can't find Calum.
