Oxygenated Butterflies

There's so many butterflies in my stomach,

Fluttering, winding down my organs,

It's eerily ticklish as they'd soil my insides,

So I opened my stomach and they flew,

Fly away in their tight coiled cage,

And as they flew away to sip on gardens,

Gardens full of flowering blossoms,

I would watch them fly away with tears,

For emptiness replaced them,

In the pit of my stomach,

Just like how you left, giving me thorns,

Past self would feel butterflies in her stomach,

How could I still? When you left, taking them.

"It's so funny how one person could bring us butterflies only to take them away too..."
