"In this world, there are people who deserve to die. But some thoughtful freaks kill them for us in secret. That is why the clueless civilians can sleep peacefully at night, completely unaware of it."

-- It's Okay Not To Be Okay

"Oh my gosh, guess what?" I exclaimed while staring at my phone.

"...What?" Hayden peered at me from under the blanket.

"Rylie Divine was in town with us!"

"Really..."

Rylie Divine was probably the best pop singer I've known besides me. She's won many awards and has acted in at least five movies with Lexi. I sure as hell would have loved to meet her husband before she married him. He was the definition of sexy. Too bad he was head over heels for her. As soon as they got married she got pregnant. Two girls and I'm jealous.

I don't know about you, but when you find out your favorite popstar resided in the same city as you for a few days...it's kind of hard to ignore. Lexi has been friends with her for some time now. To think she might have visited while everything was going on makes me want to scream! Hayden doesn't know anything about fangirling. It's a lifestyle. It's your job. The moment she drops her new merch, I'm buying.

"You do know I helped Wayne almost kill my sister and now we're on the run from the police," Hayden reminded me. "What are we going to do if we mess up before catching the flight back home?"

"We're not going to mess up," I assured him.

"Keke, is there a reason why Rylie Divine being in Palm Springs is superior news over me almost losing my sister?"

"Yes. It's great news. I don't like to hear you sulking about such bad news."

I'm smart and comforting when I want to be. Like I said, fangirling is a job. I ignore bad situations to avoid falling into a depression. If I dwell on helping Wayne do what he did, I don't think we'd be in this hotel right now. I would have made sure the police caught us. I'm glad Hayden is always around to keep that from happening. Even if he sometimes gets more emotional than me.

"I'm going to take a shower. Maybe we can have some real fun today."

"M'kay. Breakfast should be here when you finish."

"Come take one with me..."

I laughed. "As much as I'd love to, I can't. I took one earlier."

"Lame." He pouted.

While he was in the shower, I busied myself with double checking my plans for when I get back to New York. Tamera had handed the kids back to my parents and said she wasn't coming back till I got back. Funny. Abby had been working all week, so she was glad for the distraction. Said she was tired of women complaining about prices. If I have the chance, I'd love to get re-married and get Abby's help.

Sha-Kayla. Of course I haven't heard from her since I confronted her about messing around with Luca. I don't think she even cared about my warning. Seeing that he had been with Samantha during the gala, Kaykay probably thought she was going to have her way with him. Seeing how Luca likes playing women, he's going to get her real good. When she realizes I've been right all along, she's going to wish she'd listened to me.

Anyway, Abby, Tamera, and I are going to have a girl's day when I get back. I'm going to make sure I get to spend time with my kids before going back to work. I miss them more than anything in the world right now. I'll probably Facetime them when we finish breakfast. Even though Hayden hasn't said a thing, we all know he misses them too.
