"Never forget 3 types of people in your life: 1.) Who helped you in your difficult times, 2.) Who put you in your difficult times, 3.) Who left you in your difficult times."

"See you tomorrow, Mr. Williams." Maggie wiggled her fingers at my husband as he passed the front desk. "Have a good day."

"Whatever," Hayden muttered and took my hand. "Let's eat. I'm starving."

"...Now? I have things to do."

"Yes, now. Plus, it's family night and we know dinner is usually after the first movie. Or whatever game you have planned. Are the girls coming over?"

"Of course. It's not family night without them."

"Why can't I invite the boys over?"

"For that exact reason. They're boys. Their testosterones level is too high when they're around my friends. Since they know Tamera is getting a divorce and Abby is forever single, who knows what they'll do?"

"Please. Just this once, babe."

I made the mistake of looking up at him. Hayden's eyes were pleading with as much manliness it could hold. Which wasn't much. It was still enough to make me want to give in right then and there. I forced myself to look away and push through the doors. Another careless mistake.

"There they are!"

"Mr and Mrs. Williams, who are you wearing?"

"Sha'Kera, were you here to support your husband?"

"Are you planning on coming back as Blue Ace?"

"Were you inside signing a contract?"

Hayden threw his jacket over my head and guided me to our car. When he closed his door, there was a moment of silence before we burst into a fit of laughter.

"Hayden, who are you wearing?" I crowed.

"Did you really come here to support me?" Hayden choked out.

"I cannot believe they dared to ask us that. Are they in their right minds?" I put on my seatbelt and gave Hayden his jacket. "Fine. I guess you can invite your friends tonight. They do anything stupid and I'm sending them home."

"Of course, baby. Kiss?" Hayden leaned over in his seat. I met him halfway.

It's moments like these that both hurt and help our relationship. We both know that by tonight I'm going to have cold feet and ask that Hayden tell his friends not to come. We'll argue until everyone gets to the house and most likely hate each other by the time they leave. Since the kids will probably retire after dinner, the craziness will start right after. We can prevent this situation, but we both won't say anything about it.

"Where do you want to eat?"

"Hmmm...You pick."

"You sure? If I pick a really expensive place, we have to deal with reporters. But we'll have some nice food."

"That's why I love you. Let's go."

"Did you even hear what I said?" Hayden asked, poking me in the arm. "What is going on with you today?"

"...Nothing," I muttered. "What did you need?"

"I was asking if you wanted to go back to the hotel or visit Lexi. I'll go with you this time."
