"Humans are much weaker than you think. Because they are weak, sometimes they become cruel."

-- Mater Gong Dal

"I hate you so much," I muttered.

I tried rolling away, but Hayden pulled me back to him.

"No, get back over here. You need to learn," he said.

"Learn what? To get you to sleep with me, so I forget the bad things you do to me?"

"You know you like it. I like it when I feel you struggling beneath me."

I really wanted to slap the white off of him. Sometimes he made me want to kill myself.

"I can't do anything anymore, because of you. Leave me alone, Hayden."

"I can definitely go another round. You don't have to do anything, love."

"No."

Okay, I know things may not go my way. Will most definitely not go my way. Hayden is a literal animal when it comes to sex. I wasn't complaining, but if I got more kids, I was going to cry. When the sun busted through the window, I didn't think I'd be able to move. But, lo and behold, I was able to get out of bed and take a long awaited shower. This was the last time I'd let him trick me like that.

"Mommy, whatcha finking about?" Addison asked as she bounced on the couch.

"...Nothing, sweetheart," I muttered.

"You can tells me."

"Why would I tell you?"

Addison looked at me with disappointment in her eyes. Why was she reminding me of me when I was younger? Was that a bad thing? I did remember when I annoyed my mother half to death. Addi got up, leaving me alone again.

"Mommy!"

Dang it. Just when I thought it was safe, Mina came running into the living room. She threw herself across my lap and giggled.

"I hungry," she declared.

"Ask your daddy. I'm busy," I muttered. I wasn't, but who was she to know that?

"But, daddy told me to ask you."

I shot her a look, but I doubt she saw it. Mina shimmied off my lap and tottered into the kitchen. So, Hayden was in the kitchen? Why would he ask her to ask me? I was not about to do something he could do just as easily. It's not like he was going to burn the kitchen down or something.

I actually ended up making lunch for everyone. Excluding Hayden, because he had work and I wasn't about to play wifey with him. After he left, I sat the kids down to watch a movie. Addi was supposed to go to school, but I wasn't going to force her. It's not like they actually learned anything she couldn't learn at home with me.

While they watched a movie, I found myself in the kitchen making double grilled cheese sandwiches. I hoped the kids wouldn't be stopped up after this. I'd be laughing my butt off at them. Mean? Could be, but I don't care.

My phone rang while I was in the middle of cooking. At first, I wasn't going to answer. Then, I saw who it was. I hadn't actually talked to her for a while, so I wonder what she has to say. I answered the call and put it on speaker.

"Hey, hey, girl," I exclaimed.

"You sound pretty excited," Lexi said. "What are you up to?"

"Hmm, nothing much. Just trying to keep the kids fed."
