Earth-8504 a world in the multiverse that isn't too dissimilar from our own, but more technologically advanced. This world has its own avengers as well. However this world didn't have a spider-man... well that was until now.
It's been a few days and rent is finally due and I don't have enough money to pay for this shit hole so I better start swallowing my pride and start begging for a place to stay.
Within those days however Simon has been learning to control his new powers. We'll start training tomorrow, but before that I need to rest after all, I've been doing nothing, but stopping crime and nothing is happening right now so I guess time to finally listen to that podcast.
I started up the Podcast known as The Online Web and I began with, "hello everyone my name's Danika Heart and welcome to The Online Web. A podcast about not only about Spider-Man, but about life here and New York. Now let's get straight to the News a few days ago the mercenary known as Taskmaster was finally apprehended by the police and that's all thanks to Spider-Man."
Well I like this podcast already, it's nice breath of fresh air after having lies be thrown in my face by my employer.
Danika: Police Commissioner Adrian Thomson went onto to say that they couldn't have brought Taskmaster to justice without the aid of Spider-Man and that Spider-Man is truly trying to do good for the city. I mean if that doesn't say that our Spider is looking out for us then I don't know what does. In other news, Two convicts with known connections with The Maggia have been bailed out and there charges have been dropped so it seems that Law and Order isn't as flawless as TV says.
I got a call from the land lord and was forced to stop listening and I answered.
Landlord: listen kid, I'm sorry, but I can't have you keeping the place held up if you don't have the money. Have your stuff packed up and be out of there in an hour got it.
"Yes sir."
I hung up and got packed up.
Afterwards I was walking with my bags around Hell's Kitchen and I noticed a limo pulled up and the window rolled down and I saw Simon in it and he said, "Get in man."
I did so and I saw his mother sitting across from us and she said, "judging from the bags I'd say you got evicted."
"Yeah I did."
Arianna: Well then how about you stay with us?
"Wait what?"
Simon: I might've brought up the fact that you won't be able to make rent and asked if you could stay with us.
Arianna: and I thought it was a good idea. Seeing as how I know you're not a criminal like your mother is and I want to make sure that stays like that, well here we are so, what do you say?
This isn't happening right, I mean I'm not this lucky. It's like I got the golden ticket and I am so going to use it.
"That would be great. Thank you so much. I don't know how to repay you."
Arianna: you can't repay me by living your life like normal.
"You got it."
The next day: Sunday
Simon was wearing the training suit he made and we were on the Chrysler Building and I said, "let's hope you've got a handle on those powers of yours. Because it's time to begin your training first lesson swinging. I am going to be monitoring your location and timing you on how long it takes for you to swing from here to your place. I'm going to your place and I'll say when to start so until then get ready."

I swung to the rooftop of the building that held the penthouse of Simon. I brought up the mini map and stopwatch on my UI. There was a red dot that showed the location of Simon. I said, "okay start now."
I started the stop watch and watched the dot on the map.
Simon POV
I jumped off the Chrysler building and spun a web maybe a little to late because I almost hit a hot dog stand.
I used the web to jump higher and I turned left almost hitting a building while turning.
"How the hell was Y/n so good at this when he first got his powers."
I continued swinging until I made it nearly missing multiple buildings.
When I landed Y/n said, "3 and a half minutes. Nice job for your first swing."
"How were you so good at that when you started?"
Y/n: Rush of Adrenaline and I let my instincts take control. Then I got better and I hate to admit it, but Taskmaster's training definitely helped.
I looked around and saw there was envelope sitting next to Y/n and that it was in the... shadows.
Y/n POV
I noticed Simon staring at something and I look at what it was and I grabbed it and in inside the envelope was a flash drive.
"Well let's see what's on it."
We got changed and walked inside the penthouse.
We went to my current room and plugged in the flash drive. In it was a video file I opened it and it was unsurprisingly my mother recorded.
Cheshire Cat: hello Y/n and who I'm assuming is Simon. I... messed up.
"You can say that again."
Cheshire Cat: but I have no intention of stopping. If you want to catch me like you said you're going to have to stop Tombstone first. Enclosed is a couple of files one includes the projects they are working on in order to create new super criminals, and the other evidence against not only the two test subjects, but also against Tombstone it won't be enough to convict him, but it's close."
The video ended and I noticed there were two files. I opened the first one and inside it were two documents one titled Project Gaiman and another one titled Project Romita.
Project Gaiman was an experiment to give a person the properties of sand and affectively making them unstoppable.
Project Romita was an experiment to give a person impenetrable armor that is in capable of being removed making them affectively invincible.
To bad, it seems that the procedures were done today. So I have to wait for them to strike first as I don't know where they are.
I opened the other file and just as she said there was evidence against all of them, but not enough to put Tombstone away. I have to get Tombstone angry and to do that I need to take out his men and deny him the energy converter he wants so bad.
