Chapter 11: Tombstone's last stand

Y/n POV

Kingpin: I will break you little man... Tombstone's here to stay!

He charged at me and I jumped over him and I kicked him into the ground. He got up without a scratch and I said, "why do I have a feeling that's not what changed about you."

Tombstone: because it wasn't.

My spider sense went off and I dodged his next punch. I kicked him from below and he didn't even flinch. He grabbed my leg and threw me threw a wall.

Tombstone: my skins been as hard as diamond for as long as I can remember.

I got out my talons and charged at him. I slashed his leg and uppercutted him and again there wasn't even a mark on him.

He kicked me back into a wall and I said, "okay this is ridiculous."

I got up and pulled down the ceiling above him and it landed on him. He exploded out from the rubble and said, "gonna take more than that."

He grabbed a piece of rubble and threw it at me and I dodged. He did it again and I dodged again. This continued on until he was out of things to throw at me. He rushed me so I jumped over him webbed his back and threw him throw the floor below us.

I dropped down and was about to walk away when my spider sense started to tingle and I was hit in the back with a piece of rubble.

I got out from under the rubble and said, "calm down tombstone after all of you destroy your office the marketing department isn't going to like that."

Tombstone: I am the marketing department.

He ran toward me and I used an accelerated decoy to trick him into attacking that.

I struck him from behind sending him through a wall and he got up as if it was nothing.

Okay how in the hell am I gonna beat this guy?!

I ran straight to him and kicked him in the gut

I slashed at his face, then I kicked him across the jaw, and after that slammed him into the ground. He grabbed me by the neck and slammed me into a wall repeatedly I then slashed his eyes and kicked him away from me.

I swung into the shadows, and waited for him to drop his guard.

Tombstone: where are you?!

He started to punch holes into the walls. I realized due to the failure of the power amplifier his intellect took a serious hit and he became a mindless idiot. He's not going to drop his guard. So I swung down and kicked him through the wall.

My only chance at beating him is overexertion, he got up and said, "you ready to fight me man to man?"

"Let's go."

He charged at me and I charged at him, I clocked him across the jaw and said, "what's the matter Toomy? Tired?"

He started to punch, but I dodged each one. I kicked him. In the gut and he grabbed me and slammed me into the ground breaking the floor below us and making us land onto a pathway he threw me off it and I swung onto a window and webbed Tombstone and hit him off of the pathway and kicked him through the floor he was falling into, before he landed I webbed him and attached it to the path we were on.

"You know what now you're definitely more of a tombstone than a kingpin."

The police arrived and told me to get going.

"Will do officers."

I swung back to Simon's Penthouse and saw him and Abby waiting for me. I took off my mask and said, "mission successful."

The next day After School

I swung over to the police station and saw Adrian waiting for me there.

Adrian: you know everyone here is starting to think Jameson's wrong about you.

"Aw that's so sweet."

Adrian: why do you do it?

"Well there are two main reasons, one Tombstone had my father killed, the other... well it's something my dad said, before he died... with great power comes great responsibility."

Adrian: do you have a number or something?

"Why?"

Adrian: well I'd be a lot more comfortable with the idea if we had a line of communication.

"You'd be risking your career doing this."

Adrian: I'm aware, but I can tell you're no threat. So the number.

"Well it's not really a number so much as a comm link and don't worry I'll come up with a line of communication for us. Just give me a few days."

Adrian: deal.

That night

I dropped onto my bed and I felt a prick on my neck, but when I looked to see what it was there was nothing there. I shrugged it off and went to sleep.
