Chapter 14: The Scorpion Strikes and the Payback Gone Wrong

Y/n POV

It's Saturday at 4:30 in the morning, me and Tarantula set out to find scorpion the algorithm pinged three locations and all of them are in the sewers. We split up to other groups and the one I'm at I just found a room full of strange sacks I activated the AR scanner in my mask and it said they were containing hazardous material.

Each sac began to break and out from them came tiny versions of scorpion.

The all let out high pitched roars, but in doing so it more just came off as pathetic and loud rather than ear shattering, but there's like 25 of them so I'd rather lure them into a trap over the alternative which is fight them all.

So I ran in the direction of a drop in the until they all fell off of it with the exception of 5 which were smart enough to stab into the wall. I saw the ones that dropped exploded into the same acid that Scorpion shoots from his tail.

The five that survived started to make their way to me and I jumped off the wall and webbed one of them and used him to knock off the rest of them.

I used the comms and said, "Abby where was the other location?"

Abby: I'll send you the location. By the way I found out why others were either dropping out of the science fair or just making some ridiculous shit, it's because it's not just some school science fair. It's apparently sponsored by a business magnate named Wilson Fisk. You win it you get boat load of money.

"That is really strange, by the way thanks for waking up so early to help us out with this."

Abby: Hey what are friends for?

Abby yawned and sent me the location. She also said, "By the way on the topic of the science fair I managed to get those parts we needed for the power source."

"Sweet, now this'll be a sure thing."

Simon POV

I was sitting over a pile of acid due to those things not liking my Venom too much and recieved the location for the last probable location and said, "thanks Abby, I assume that Y/n didn't find anything either."

Abby: nope he didn't nothing more than a bunch of mini Scorpions.

"What a coincidence me too."

I used the AR scanner to try and find some lead as to where my mutated father was, but found nothing.

I left for the location and said, "by the way Abby, do you think that this might have something to do with me?"

Abby: maybe, but if that's the case then he'll attack the school.

"I really hope that's not the case."

3rd person POV location: Adrian's house

The two students Adrian grouped with were sneaking by to his shed one boy said, "Jack are you sure this is a good idea. I mean what if he becomes a monster like Scorpion?"

Jack: do you really want him taking credit for our ideas again? No then stop being such a pansy Sean.

The boys walked into the shed and used some of the cutting materials Jack brought to cut a small hole in a part of the suit.

Sean: What happens if this works?

Jack: it's simple when he takes flight he'll show off like the prick he is the vail of Vulture DNA I stole from my dad's office will break causing some of the glass to pierce his body and the DNA will enter his system and he'll be hospitalized. It's not like he'll become a monster. It's just some payback. He'll be fine.
