"We're here," Jennie breathed a loud sigh of relief as she pulled into the familiar driveway. She opened the door and watched Lisa and Jungkook walk out, hand in hand. She smiled slightly.
No sooner had they taken a few steps when the door flung open and a teary Chaeyoung ran to hug them, the rest of the group following close behind.
"Chaeng, let go," Jungkook choked out. Chaeyoung let him go and quickly wrapped an arm around Lisa.
"Are you okay?" Hobi questioned, taking in their state.
"Yeah," Jennie reassured. "But I'm sticky and gross."
Taehyung went and hugged her anyway. Jennie blushed slightly.
"You good, Liz?" Yoongi looked at the younger girl, his hands in his pockets.
"I'm more than good, oppa," Lisa, who was now being fretted over by Jisoo, smiled brightly. "Sorry for worrying you."
Yoongi's gaze trailed down to her and Jungkook's still interlocked hands and he raised his eyebrows, a slightly teasing smile on his face. Jungkook grinned and Lisa just blushed.
"Are you two official now?" Jin asked, inspecting them carefully.
"Yeah, we are," Lisa smiled shyly, gauging their reactions.
"It's about time!" Yoongi scoffed, and the commotion began once again as the others congratulated and teased them loudly. They laughed together. It felt nice, having it out in the open for once. Lisa smiled at her unnies as they wrapped a blanket around her and Jennie and walked her to the house, smiles and laughter all around her. Soon the front door opened again and Jieun came out. It had been a while since Lisa had last seen her. She looked tired, with deep eye bags and a small frown creasing her forehead. She made her way into the crowd and glared at Jungkook, giving him a small shove on the shoulder.
"Yah. All you ever do is make me worry. Couldn't you even contact us before you ran off?" Her eyes softened as she spotted the new couple's linked arms, and she gazed at Lisa with warm eyes.
"Lisa, are you alright? We were so worried for you."
Lisa stepped forward and wrapped the older woman in a tight hug.
"Thank you so much," she whispered. Jieun was standing awkwardly with wide eyes so Lisa blushed and stepped back to Jungkook's side.
"I'm sorry Jieun-ssi, I'm really emotional right now. But thank you for being so caring even though I treated you so poorly."
"There's no need to apologize. I understand. Let's blame it on JK instead." She flashed a cheeky grin at her cousin.
Lisa giggled at Jungkook's scoff of indignation, and they all made their way back into the house.
"You're alright, though?" Jieun pulled Lisa back a little to talk.
"I'm okay Jieun-ssi," Lisa smiled nervously.
"Call me unnie from now on, okay? Let's be good friends."
"Mm." Lisa nodded happily.
"You've always been my favorite anyway. JK has talked about you even before he met you," Jieun teased. "One day, he went on rambling for about fifteen minutes until I reminded him that we had both cleared out our schedules to spend time together."
