One hour.
One hour had passed since Jennie slammed the door in Taehyung's face and she was already restless. Hell, she had been wanting to make up with him only ten minutes after their argument, but her pride didn't let her.
Laying there on her bed while shuffling her feet impatiently, she realized that being with Taehyung was beginning to turn into an addiction. He was on her mind all day, every day, and she didn't know if to scream and run away from everything or go propose to him already.
She wanted to hate him so badly for that, but she couldn't.
Therefore, Jennie concluded that she was going crazy, and that all she could do was live with it. And that included apologizing to Taehyung.
Jennie got up from her bed with a loud sigh and looked at herself in the mirror.
"Goodbye to my dignity," she muttered before getting up and opening the door...
...only to find Taehyung standing there, looking like he was about to knock.
"Hey."
"Uh..hi."
Awkward silence.
"Um. I just wanted to say, you know. Sorry."
Blushing, she slammed the door shut and went to scream into her pillow. Apologies weren't for her.
Jennie didn't look up when Taehyung entered and lay next to her, pulling her into a hug.
"You're so amazing."
"No, I'm not," she scoffed. Taehyung laughed.
"Are you really fighting me over giving you a compliment?"
"Yes."
"See, that's what makes you amazing."
"Eh," Jennie mumbled shyly, burying her face in his chest. "You smell good," she remarked after a few moments. Taehyung smiled then cleared his throat.
"About our argument earlier."
Jennie whimpered.
"I didn't mean any stuff I said. I'm just a little scared."
"Why? It's just me, Jen."
"Exactly. Tae, you're my best friend, I don't wanna break up and lose you-"
"Who said we'll break up? Jennie, it's us. We're practically soulmates. We can both work hard for this."
Jennie pouted.
"Listen, we've known each other for a couple years now, and I've always been chasing after you."
"Nah. What about your thing for Chaeng?"
Taehyung scowled.
"That was literally before I met either of you. I didn't know what you were like in real life."
"I understand," Jennie smiled. "And I do want to be with you. But promise me one thing."
"What?"
"You know I say lots of things I don't mean, and I can act really...spontaneously. So please be patient and don't give up on me like you have until now. Because I really love you, Tae, and I don't want either of us to end up hurt."
"I promise. It's not fun without you yelling at me at least once a week, anyway." Taehyung grinned, pinching her baby cheeks affectionately.
"Yah. And you'll have to cut that out, too." She frowned childishly.
"No." He replied simply. "I think I have a cheek kink."
Jennie gasped and hit him.
"You weirdo! Stop right now!"
"What if I kiss you instead."
"Well...okay?"
So he did.
