Jungkook woke up, Ji-eun's voice echoing in his head from their argument the day before.
"You need to tell her before it's too late."
He got up. He couldn't lose her. Making his way out of his bedroom, he walked into the closest living room.
"Noona, have you seen Lisa?" Jungkook asked Jisoo, who was focused on annoying Yoongi to get him to play with her.
"Yeah, she's about this tall and has boring brown hair and bangs. Actually, it's a wig, I haven't seen her real hair in ages. She's also a cute little chubby spoiled brat of a baby but also kind of a dimbulb and I'm pretty sure she stole all my talent when we met so that's why she's so good at everythi-"
"I saw her going into the media room," Yoongi offered.
"Thanks."
"Let me braid your hair, Yoongi oppa! Or do you want me to do your makeup? You looked adorable that one time you- hey, don't run away from me!"
Jungkook snickered at Yoongi's groans as he walked towards the media room. He opened the door and saw Lisa sitting on the small couch while staring at the blank TV screen.
"You know, in order for images to appear on the screen you need to press the power button," he joked, plopping down next to her. Lisa didn't spare a glance at him when he scooted closer to her, grabbing her hand. She shook it off.
"Leave me alone, Jungkook."
His forehead creased with worry.
"Did I do something wrong? Doll, look at me," he muttered, scared that Jieun's words were coming true. Lisa finally turned to him and he realized that her eyes were teary.
Heart pounding, he reached to run a thumb along her cheek but she swatted him away once more.
"Liz, you're scaring m-"
"Stop pretending to care and leave me the hell alone, you bastard."
Lisa stood up and walked away, leaving Jungkook hurt and confused.
...
Since all the cameras were finally installed, all the cameramen were gone for the day and Ji-eun wandered around the house. She had found Hobi giving Chaeyoung a piggy-back ride outside by the garden and Jisoo and Taehyung shoving a bright pink woman's wig onto a frightened Yoongi's head near the kitchen. Jimin was dancing in the studio and Jin, Jennie, and Namjoon were laughing together while eating ice cream out by the pool.
Everything seemed fine, but something felt off.
...
Chaeyoung glanced at the clock for what seemed like the hundredth time. Why did it seem like time was passing even slower than usual? She sighed. They had met up the day before as he had requested, and he hadn't wasted a single minute in asking her to meet him again.
Only five minutes till midnight.
She and Jimin had moved fast. After that first talk in the music studio, there had been many more on both sides, sometimes complaining about their lives as idols or sometimes simply talking about anything and everything. Halfway through the week, he had confessed to her. She agreed and so far everything was going perfectly according to plan.
It was like torture. She hated doing this to him and wished he could have been a jerk instead of the caring "boyfriend" he really was.
But if she didn't do it, it would be so much worse.
Set your feelings aside, Roseanne, she reminded herself firmly.
Chaeyoung wiggled around in her bed for a few more minutes until it was finally time. She tip-toed out of the room quietly, sneaking out. Jimin was sitting on a patio table near the pool with his back to her. Smiling, she tried to surprise him but he swiveled around first, grinning.
"Aw, how'd you see me?" She sat on his lap comfortably, wrapping her hands around his neck.
"An angel's presence is hard to ignore," Jimin winked at her and she rolled her eyes.
"What a flirt." But nonetheless, she reached up and kissed him softly, running her hands through his impossibly soft hair. After a few minutes, they pulled apart, smiling. Chaeyoung hummed gently, looking up at the sky.
"It's a cloudy night," she remarked. Jimin nodded absently, transfixed by her beauty. His Chaeng looked gorgeous as she sat in his arms, her eyes twinkling as she looked up, exposing her beautiful neck. She looked back at him and smiled, taking his hand in hers and playing with his fingers.
"So small and cute," she teased, making him glare at her playfully. They enjoyed the silence for a while, both of them thinking absentmindedly.
"When do you think we should tell our members?" Chaeyoung idly traced swirling lines on his chest with her finger, thinking hard.
"Let's wait a while, Chaeng," He ran a hand through his hair, a habit she had quickly grown to love.
Chaeyoung nodded.
"You know...I never thought I'd stay with one girl for longer than a week," Jimin admitted. "But you're different. You're so...real."
Chaeyoung giggled.
"Real? Were all the other girls robots?"
Jimin smiled.
"Sometimes it seemed like that. All fake, only after me because of my fame and money. I told myself it was fine since they were one-night stands, but I was never really happy until I found you." He kissed her hands softly and looked down at her, a worried frown suddenly creasing his forehead. "I hope you don't think I'm playing you, Chipmunk."
"Nah," Chaeyoung pecked him on the lips, trying not to squirm around in guilt. "I trust you, Chim."
