Jisoo sprayed some perfume on and fixed her hair. The club was outdoors, at the beach, so she had opted for a more natural look and wore a flowered dress. She felt nervous knowing that Jin would be there and they'd probably end up alone together at some point.
Lost in thought, she walked downstairs. Jin was the only one there. He turned around at the sound of her footsteps and looked temporarily lost once he saw her. He opened his mouth, then closed it.
"You look nice."
Jisoo blushed.
"Thank you," she whispered. Suddenly her throat felt dry, but Yoongi's words echoed in her mind. "Do you- Do you think we could maybe...talk? Not right now, but, I mean...later," she croaked out before looking at her feet, her cheeks burning.
God, I love embarrassing myself, don't I?
"I would like that."
Jisoo looked up to see a genuine smile on his face, one that she hadn't seen in ages. She chuckled and nodded nervously. She had no idea what to say next but luckily Taehyung and Chaeyoung arrived, saving the day.
"Wow Chaengie, you look nearly as stunning as I do," Jin grinned at the younger.
"Yeah, don't ruin it by getting drunk," Jisoo snickered.
"I don't get drunk," Chaeyoung said innocently. A sarcastic laugh came from the stairs, and in came Jennie. Taehyung's mouth nearly dropped. He walked up to her with a smile.
"Wow. You look beautiful," he murmured. She blushed and hid her face, murmuring thanks.
"Did Jennie just take a compliment from Taehyung nicely?" Hobi, who was entering from the living room, asked incredulously. Taehyung grinned and wrapped an arm around her waist, facing the others.
"Everyone, meet my date, Kim Jennie."
Jennie rolled her eyes at his cheesiness but smiled shyly anyway. Hobi gasped dramatically.
"You traitors! When did this happen that you didn't tell us?"
"Just a few hours ago," Jennie waved it off and sat down to Jin, who high-fived her and told her to take good care of his dongsaeng.
"You two will do well together," Jisoo smiled.
"What's happening?"
Lisa came down in a night dress like Chaeyoung's.
"We'll tell you when everyone else comes down. Wow, you look so beautiful," Chaeyoung hugged Lisa around the middle. "I would so date you."
"I would date myself too," Lisa agreed. Hobi snorted and the two began bickering until everyone else arrived.
"Taennie is real now!" Jin cheered randomly. Everyone gasped and cheered along.
"It's just a date," Taehyung sighed.
"Yeah, right. I'll be babysitting your kid in a year," Jimin remarked. Jennie coughed loudly.
"No, you won't. Anyways, we have to get going."
They all piled up into the car, where Chaeyoung pulled out snacks from her purse and everyone began fighting over them.
"Ugh, of course JK won," Chaeyoung muttered loudly, patting her empty stomach.
"Jeez, we'll get there in five minutes and you can stuff yourself there," Namjoon scolded. Jungkook eyed the snacks without a word and handed them to a confused Lisa emotionlessly. Everyone exchanged glances but nothing else happened.
