Amity's POV;

I sat staring at the man in pristine suit and glasses.

Do all teachers wear glasses..?

"When shall we start our lessons, young master?" He asked.

"Who are you?" I asked back.

"I'm your teacher." He said.

I nodded in understanding.

So he's the private teacher my mom hired for me, huh...

"I heard you wanted to learn how to read and write." He said.

"Oh, yeah, I do!" I perked up in excitement.

...

After we were done with today's lesson, I read the book he gave me to read.

He said I should be able to understand this book well enough to remember even a few lines and understand even new words that might be in it.

Flipping through the book one after the other. It was somehow easy to read through them.

Well, not because of how good he taught, he was pretty good but it must be because there's a lot of common words that I've heard a lot of times the twins say to me when they read books to me.

Laying back on my chair, I hummed reading through before raising a brow when my maid came right around the corner with a plate of snacks.

"I didn't ask for snacks." I said.

"The grand Duke asked for it to be delivered to you, young master."

I hummed.

Dad probably saw me before her.

"Ok," I agreed before saying, "hey, do you want one??"

"It's fine, young master." She bowed a bit.

I shrugged and ate some while reading.

This story he gave me is a little boring but manageable to be a good read for me.

After a while of reading, I was already half way through the thing when I realized the sky had turned a shade of gold now.

Smiling, I stared at the sky.

I wonder what Luz is up to at this hour.

Standing up, I stretched a bit before rushing off on my own.

...

Shutting the door behind me, I paused when I saw a box on my bed.

Walking over, there was a letter on top of it.

I gasped.

It's from Auntie!

Eagerly opening the letter to read it.

She sent me a gift.

I laughed a bit before deciding to open it.

There were a pair of boots inside.

They look nice! Fancy but nice!

Taking them out of the box, I stared at the dark shimmering lining designs engraved unto it.

Woah...

"A moon!"

There was a moon on both shoe at the back heel.

I smiled trying them on.

Fits perfectly. Wonder why she gave them moon designs though.

I laughed a bit.

Must be because I go out late at night and disappear completely sometimes.

Humming, I took the boots off and placed them back inside the box to keep it from getting ruined or dirty.

My brown boots still work fine so I don't need to use it just yet, I might actually break them myself if I wear it too often when I go outside to explore and entertain myself.
