Amity's POV;

I gasped when I saw Luz step out of her carriage.

Rushing over, I jumped at her for the second time.

She still managed to carry me! Hah!

I'm pretty sure she's weak though.

Standing upright, I smiled at her and she greeted me the usual.

"Good afternoon to you too!" I said before continuing with, "c'mon! Let's go!"

Grabbing her hand, we rushed off on our own before getting stopped mid-way by someone suddenly standing in front of us.

A girl with purple hair, frowning and in some... Dress.

Stood in front of us as if we were ditching something.

Suddenly Luz placed a hand on my shoulder before introducing the girl in front of us.

She was one of the Barons, huh...

"Oh, nice to meet you, my lady!" I said with a quick bow.

She seemed... Rude... Cute but rude.

"Is she really a Baron?" I asked Luz.

She nodded.

I stared at her for a bit more, looking at her face to be exact before shrugging.

"Anyway, I got a book you might like, Luz." I said.

She smiled nodding.

"You've taken up on reading now?" She asked.

I nodded.

"Well, just yesterday right after my private lessons with my teacher." I said before showing her the book.

She nodded opening it.

"I've never seen this book, I suppose I will take a liking to this." She said.

I smiled eagerly before grabbing her hand and saying, "c'mon!"

"Ahh--wait, lady Bosc--"

I didn't listen to her and continued to run off with her hand in hand.

...

After a while of running, we were now in the same spot as before.

Sitting down, I raised a brow when she suddenly sighed.

"Is something wrong??" I asked her.

She seemed to be in thought over something before shaking her head to brush it off.

"No," she said.

"Nothing's wrong." She assured as she took a seat beside me.

I smiled waiting for her to open the book I offered her.

"I see you've read the book." She wondered.

I perked up.

"How'd you know??" I asked.

"There's a faint snack stain of your finger." She chuckled and pointed it out.

Oh, so there is.

I didn't even realize I stained it a bit.

"I didn't even realize I stained it a bit."

"Well, a stained book only means good stories in them."

I shot up.

"Really??" I asked.

She nodded.

"So if I stained my mom's photo album, it's a quick way to say it has good stories in it?" I wondered.

I mean, there are good stories on that photo album.

She chuckled at me before saying, "I can't really be the judge of that."

I laughed.

"Yeah... My mom might get a bit upset if I did stain it though." I shrugged the idea off.

Actually doing something like that might be a little overboard on my part to be a good son in the family name.

Staying quiet, I watched her read.

Her expression gave off on which parts of the story she'd be in. To the point where she reaches the sad parts, the funny parts, and the good parts.

After a while of reading, she got into the middle part of the story.

"I'd say it was a good story." She said.

I smiled in delight.

"Great!" I chimed.
