Epilogue 3: The Story After -II

*note: this is the actual plot i.e, continuation of haruto's timeline (continuation of epilogue1)*

Haruto stood still watching Aoi say that she cant take the medicine..

"what do you mean you cant? you'll die if you dont take it."

she didnt say a word. she looked down to hide her face.. haruto continued.

"ohh you mean you cant swallow it without water..! .. you scared me there.. um well the easy way is to--"

"haruto!" said aoi with her voice slightly raised.

"i'm sorry but i know what you are about to say.. the easy way is to suck the medicine out of a straw..right?"

haruto was shocked because it was exactly what he was going to say.

"umm.. "

aoi continued..

"actually.. this isnt the first time we've talked like this.. i have already done this.. Many times.."

"wait a minute.. Aoi what are you saying..? many times?? that means.."

he looked at her dissappionted face. her cold eyes didnt meet her.. haruto continued speaking.

"but.. w-why?.. i thought we were going to take the vaccine together.. then both of us will live.... And then... we will--"

"i thought that too.. at first.. that we will both be saved if we take it.. but.."

"it doesnt work outand .. you end up doing it over and over again?.."

"Yep.." tears rolled down as she nodded..

"Aoi... What happened?.."

"So.. You and i take the vaccine.. but even if we take together.. you fall asleep first.. i lose consciousness for a moment but i get up again later ... and--"

*flashback of explanation as to what happens*

Aoi wakes up..looks around and recollects that she felt unconscious. She rushes towards haruto's room and sees her lying down.

"haruto... "

he doesnt wakes up..

"the same thing happens..!" says Aoi frustratingly.

she goes back to her room. she finds a desk with a blank notebook inside..

"alright if i leave a cut in this paper then at least if i can count how many times i have leaped... this might work.."

and so she leaves a cut on the first paper

"haruto.... i'll  definitely!!.."

*end of explanation from flashback*

Aoi continues..

"and so.. while i'm awake.. i try to leave a cut in the paper so i remember how many times its been...but i end up falling asleep soon after.."

"after you sleep.. what happens?"

"the next time I wake up, all my memories will be gone.... I think when we're asleep.. Dr Ichiri comes and he .."

"i see..then my memory will also .."

"no.. your memories wont be wiped Haruto.."

haruto gives confused look. Aoi continues..

"but instead...

You'll die, Haruto..."
