Chapter 40: 7 Years From Now

Haruto went inside the machine.
“Alright Haruto.. you ready?”
“Yes..”
“Since it’s a longer leap. It might take you a while to loose consciousness. You ll be sleeping soon.”
“Yep I get it!”
After a while.. Haruto lost his consciousness.

Haruto was lying on the floor of the same room which had boxes. ichiri and aoi were outside the room.
“Well Aoi, see you. I’ll be back soon.” Saying this, ichiri left. Aoi came inside the room. She sat near Haruto. And started speaking.
“.. I’ll talk about the past now… hehe.. I wonder if it’s fine like this.?.. that day I saved a friend from a well. I was worried that he might be injured but he was fine..I asked him what he was doing in the well. And then he—”
Haruto woke up. He was still on the same machine. He realised that his Memories were slowly returning to 7 years ago. And what he saw just now was a glimpse of where he will be sent to.
“Huh? How long has it been?”
“Ohh you woke up.. don’t worry it’s just been a few mins. I’ll press that button there and you will be sent back.”
“Yes. Please do it?”
“okay then, I’ll pray for your success and I believe Aoi will do the same thing for you.” Said Dr ichiri.
“Thanks for everything Haruto. Good luck.” Said the director. And he continued.
“I want this to happen Haruto. Two different people..doing the exact same thing. Saving one another. And honestly. You risking your life to save a girl. Haha. It’s cool!”
“Alright Haruto. I’m pressing it. Make it count!”
Ichiri pressed the button. Everything turned pitch black.

Haruto was lying on the same floor of the room with two boxes. Aoi was sitting right beside her. She started speaking.
“Phew.. I guess there is nothing left to do… Hey.. Haruto.. ? Are you listening?. I guess your not…
Haruto.. I wonder how you’re going to grow up.. You’ll grow tallller.. more handsome… hmm..
I wonder if you’ll forget about me.. I wouldn’t want that.. hehe..”
She Walked around the room and sat on the corner of the room staring at Haruto. She continued speaking.
“Hey… I’ll be right here.. forever and ever… I’llbe waiting.. so Haruto!!.. please come back! I know you will do the same thing as me.. I believe in you! Say hi to mom and dad for me! If it goes well..it will be 7 years from now huh!.. well… see you!!”
She got up. And came closer to him.
“Haruto.. I’ll be waiting for you!...

7 Years From Now..”

Haruto returned back. He saw himself in the same room. He looked younger. His body was still the same 12-13 years old.He looked around.. 'huh! It worked!! ‘he saw the two boxes in there. He knew the right answer he went and pressed the button.
The buzzer said.
Beep. Successfully unblocked.
He heard the door behind open.
He rushed out. And as he came outside, he saw a girl walking close to him. She had a yellow hair. And the same red ribbon as Haruto saw in his dreams. She had a beautiful smile. As she approached near him, Haruto couldn’t believe it. He felt the peace seeing that smile of hers. someone so important to him was standing right in front of him. He couldn’t even speak.
“Umm… uhh.. long time no see … wait what am I saying? ..umm I meann…”
Aoi laughed. And came closer to him.
“Hehe.. yep!!Its been a while!

Haruto..”
